I forgot to post the link here to the old emoticons Link to CL emojis This was a French Canadian set no longer available, and it turned out Club Lakers used just a few of the total set. I named him Frenchie, just so the link makes sense. Turns out Tabarnak isn’t a nice word
What a trip down memory lane--thanks for the links with the archived site. I can't believe I joined CL over 10 years ago. Real shame that site went down like that.
Yeah! I had totally forgot about the Katy Perry sig though that OP posted. good times did most people end up making the jump before CL collapsed?
90% of the cool ones. Anyone remember LakerFool ? We argued a lot, but I liked him. I rarely agreed with Satan, but when he wasn't trying to troll, he brought an interesting take to the discussions. Chicano and his nonsense made me laugh. Especially when Sirron would get him.
Anyone remember the kid who traveled around the country to see Laker games. I think he went on to USC to study accounting. Anyway, someone once said they wanted to squeeze his cheeks. Made me LOL. He was a good poster, but can't remember his name.
I know who you are thinking of. I can see him, but the name escapes me right now... Wait wait, I had a nickname for him and Chicano when I was messing around..... Dang, what was that? Edit!!! Juanyo And Juancanyo or Juancano Is that the guy? I bet I can find the skittles picture lol
Think it was Juanyo. Good memory bro. Lots of hair and cheeks. That comment was almost as funny as yours to Mookie.
Crucifido, Satan and JSM are the guys I miss the most. Guru deserves a honorable mention too On a more positive note, it seems none of the residual trolls came over. Remember letsgolakers? Or the Heat fan who constantly claimed Wade was a lot better than Kobe with basically one argument - that he would have "found a way" to win with the team Kobe had when fricking Smush was still around? I also don't miss the institution of "owning" other posters, which seemed to be the thing back then... We're in a good place.
Ah, Chicano, he was a good dude, just wayyyy too enthusiastic and naive. I talked to him on AIM sometimes back then though, he was a nice guy. Sirron drove him nuts though, which was funny. In fact, after seeing what Sirron is capable of finding via webarchive, I’d have to say everything he does is funny, and good. It’s real good that you did that, Sirron, real good...
I joined CL in 2006 as well....it was fun back then with BDG, JSM, Danny Ainge, GuRu, Big Sleepy and all those guys...sadly life cought up with most of them.
