Ahhh, I forgot about that. I would rather us get a big body for the times when AD is forced to go up against the brutes. That being said, I bet Wood would have had a better season with a decent coach.
well based upon how we used him and his play, he may not see any better offers out there and need to exercise his option. We could do worse for the minimum, but we need some big beefy dude too at center.
Yeah, I was super unimpressed in the beginning of the season when all he did was jack up threes. He seemed to settle in after the first 20 games or so and start to contribute.
for four years running, he hits 37+% from three. here: 30%. goes from being a plus on offense to a big minus, and stayed as a slight minus on defense, rendering him mostly unplayable. we did start to find some workable lineups before he got hurt, but if he returns, you know ol' ham will go away from those to tinker in the lab a bit.
Well, I think he will look much better next season with a capable coach. Ham won’t be here, at least I think Ham won’t be here. From seeing LeBron’s reactions in the huddles regarding his play calling, I seriously doubt Hamster will be back. Also, Trevor Lane has made a great point in that not once have we heard any quotes from any of our players backing up their coach. We have, however, heard them praise coaches of other NBA teams.
Can you run that through your AI software to come up with a pic to send to Rob? Has to be easier than the "pimple/goblin" task you gave it before.
What's the latest on Wood? He'd be useful as a big body to put on Jokic to allow AD to roam a bit. The Lebron/AD/Wood frontcourt unit actually was +22.5 in 205 possessions on the year, so it's a shame we didn't see more of it.
i think wood playing as a 3/4 was much better than as a 5. the problem is that we have lebron, rui, and vando who are all in that category. lol remember when we had nobody but lebron like that!
Yeah but for this matchup he's way better than Rui or Lebron to body up on Jokic. Even Hayes and AD seem too slim for him. I think a matchup against Denver is a good fit for Wood. You're right about out logjam at forward though.
Buha had the latest on his mailbag pod he recorded yesterday. There's no update. Wood has been around the team more when we're at home but that's it. If he comes back, from what he's heard, sounds like it will be later than sooner in the post-season.
Wood is a twig … 6’10” 214. Davis same height but 253. Even Hayes weighs more at 220 though an inch taller at 6’11”.
That is not Christian Woods real weight. For some reason it has never been updated since he has come into the league. He's probably 250+ pounds. and has a 7'3 wingspan
Hasn't been updated cause he's the same twig He's actually leaner now than when he started with Philly, just look at the shoulders alone Compare to that to Duren or Goga Bitadze or Jericho Sims who's actually 6-10 & 250.
Will take your word for it (he does look thicker up top to be only 214) …. but even this literal search for “true current weight” doesn’t seem to confirm. https://www.google.com/search?q=Wha...ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#ip=1
Not having played in 2 1/2 months I'm not sure how useful he'll be. But it will allow us some more combinations against their size that keeps Prince from playing PF, so that's helpful.
Wood would have been helpful this series with his size and just shooting threat but probably too late now. His jumper was broke this season too. Was really high on the signing but have no idea why he couldn't hit anything here after being a good shooter everywhere else
Unfortunately we remain the place where shooters come to die. I have my theories - particularly that most can’t handle the bright lights here - but it’s an unfortunate thing that happens to us over and over again.
Yeah. I feel like another big could help but can’t put too much hope in a guy who hasn’t played in months.
