Call BS based on the timing of it. PR move and then he confirms the suspicions of his thoughts in Buha's follow up tweet
A month ago I would probably be annoyed by that tweet from Wood and see it as a red flag that he was airing petty grievances against coaching decisions on social media. But now? Eh, the more smoke around the team’s discontent with Ham, the better.
He should feel that way. The whole team should. We all should. And most of us do, with many of us saying so before the game even started. If Ham had started Wood over Hayes, and Vando over Prince, (and rested LeBron a little last game instead of playing him 37 min in a blowout loss after a double OT game and right before a back to back...) then the Lakers would have had a very good chance of winning this game. As is, Ham screwed us all. He screwed all the Lakers, especially Wood and Vando.
first showing of why i was worried about signing wood. i don't care if he's right; it's an insult to hayes, his teammate. i just don't like it. it can be true that ham's stupid and you're selfish, and that's why both of you will be in the g league next year.
yeah, i knew what it was right when i saw it. wonder if hayes showing up big in the boston game was partly a FU to his teammate for laughing at the idea.
This type of thing is why Wood never sticks with a team. There’s a way to go about his concerns professionally, but he chooses the immature rout. It’s such a contrast with how we saw Lonnie deal with a similar situation. Lonnie is a grown man while Wood is a toddler.
nobody on a sub .500 team should be lol'ing in the social media accounts. especially when they have basically underperformed for most of the year It's a no win situation for everyone involved.
Thanks to the atmosphere the coach has created with his past history with players' favoritism and unwillingness to even try once the starting lineup which, warts and all, was our best after the deadline last year .... and then build on that .... IMO. He's earned it!
Lol.. BUT..our best lineup after the trade deadline, didn't include Lebron, because he was hurt, until the last 8 games of the season. Dennis played more minutes in some of those games than D'Angelo, and he played even more in the playoffs. That lineup wasn't as magical, as its being made out to be. AD and Lebron stepped it up too, down the stretch, that's not to be discounted either. And fwiw Jarred didn't start to look like himself until recently, and now he's hurt.
LOL yourself for going with our best lineup not including LeBron after the trade deadline, for the period he was out still during remainder of the regular season, as if that's not a ridiculous comeback, and going with insinuating me or anyone else thinking it was "magical" when I clearly said, "warts and all". It was still THE best lineup we had the most success with, and this stubborn jacka** would not even give ONE sniff, which would have meant his favorite BFF from the Atlanta days also trying a seat on the bench like every effing one else has had to do this year. No matter your guessed at excuses for why?
Vanderbilt missed the 1st 20 games of the season man, it took him a while to get back into a groove, dude was out there hobling around for a minute. How in the hell was we supposed to start him LT? Did you not notice that D'Angelo and Austin were struggling out there together? You keep sidestepping the fact that we didn't replace Dennis at all, like that's insignificant. Nah!! We had this great lineup, Ham refused to play it...that's the real problem. It doesn't matter who isn't here, or who was hurt damn it!! Lebron and AD, played in more games together, at the end of last season and the playoffs, then they did, in the previous 2 and 1/2 seasons. That's might have had something to do with the equation too right?
He (Ham) had opportunities once Vando was back and playing well a couple weeks before he got hurt again and he refused. Every single other permutation except THAT. Warts and all it was clear what Vando added to the starting lineup last year, and then he spent the whole off season working on improving on his weaknesses. So far, when healthy it appears he HAS made strides to deserve a shot at least, like everyone else. Anyway it is what it is, and the fact SO many on the team are side eyeing this guy and making references to HIS choices .... including your 2 superstars .... where there's smoke there's fire, regardless of whether YOU think they should be or not be.
You see...I don't care if Ham got fired tomorrow, he's replaceable. What I'm saying, is that this team, simply isn't as good as last season's team.. period. The West is also stronger at the top, than it was last season too. That won't change with a new coach, and TBH.. the players a**** should be upset, because they have been inconsistent all season, starting with Lebron and AD. We need more players, instead of just some more damn love, and support IMO. We do still have two top 10 players, on this team tho. I will continue to look, more sideways at them, than anyone else first. They don't get a pass, but that doesn't absolve some of our role players, or the coach, but the main thing remains the main thing to me.
I don't agree, if you are just ignoring injuries, when you say it simply isn't as good as last year. On paper, and we have seen glimpses, even with Vincent in his limited time, watching him on D, and that isn't a huge drop-off from Dennis, nor would it be on offense .... the team is better when also factoring in Reddish's defense and Prince being better all around than Troy Brown Jr, who got more minutes than Lonnie by Ham's choice. And personally I think Hayes and Wood are better than Bryant and Gabriel. There's still time to get healthy even for all those injured, possibly, IF we make the playoffs. But like any other team injuries are always a crapshoot. Plus we don't know yet what Rob may be able to pull off at the deadline. I would expect if he does something it will address at least some of our weaknesses and improve us. Whether or not Ham could adjust quickly enough, this season with new guys added in, like he did last season, is questionable. He seems to have regressed. IMO. He started off playing Vincent a lot, and now that he has potentially a stopgap, possibly adequate enough replacement to use in the interim in Mays he won't give him a sniff .... a player that has done decently in the role for several years.
We won the IST, we beat the Clips, we beat the C Bags I guess we can book Cancun now -- The Lakers Players (Probably)
