i liked his answer about the underrated part of his game. if he can make decisions on the short roll or when attacking closeouts, he'll provide something we haven't had from any non-guard.
What stands out to me here is that he’s not just saying the right things. His eyes are glowing, he has a big smile. This doesn’t look like the kind of guy who is disgruntled that he had to take a paycut, and now just saying the cookie cutter responses. He looks like he’s actually bought in and excited about the opportunity in front of him
That would be huge if could put his ego aside and buy into what the teams all about You would think he's looking at this as a chance to get a ring and build up his value
does he understand that being an 8/5/2 guy in 18mpg on a team that goes to the conference finals will earn him more cash than being a 18/10/2 guy in 30mpg on a lotto team? let's hope so, for everyone's sake.
Maybe because Howard got us a ring and Malone didn’t . Even though Malone’s team was way better than Howard’s team Edit . I mean even Dennis is ahead of Malone lol
It's not just the team was better, the player and impact was much greater. Dwight irritated Joker. Malone battled the best of the best (TD, KG, and at times Yao), won and the injury is seen as the reason we couldn't beat Detroit. If D12 was hurt and we lost to Miami, we wouldn't think we lost because Dwight was hurt.
F Karl Malone ! Because of that bum Kobe never got his 6th Edit : Malone had a mission, to come to LA and prevent Kobe from getting his 6th . The dude NEVER looked right in LAKERS jersey
All he did was come here, hit on Kobe's wife and caused Kobe grief, then he never made up for it and just rode off into the sunset.
Well that’s a rewrite of history that year. Last part is true but happened after his injury that derailed the championship series AFTER his play in the first 3 rounds and all season greatly helped us get there.
Didn’t he actually say Mexican? Yeah after that blowup with Kobe it was over with the Lakers but also he retired. His mom had died that year and he lost a lot of his incentive to play after her death he explained later.
That’s not a lock without the performances he gave in those series against dominant players. Again …. Plus you lose all credibility here with this. “Edit : Malone had a mission, to come to LA and preventKobe from getting his 6th . The dude NEVER looked rightin LAKERS jersey”
