Copeland's 28-year-old, former fiancee was also "slashed" during the incident. 3. Thabo Sefolosha and Pero Antic were the two Hawks players arrested for impeding police investigations. 4. 53-year-old Catherine Somani was also slashed in the abdomen. 5. Shezoy Bleary was the alleged culprit. He's been arrested. Copeland is in stable condition.
Apparently the Hawks players were trying to prevent people from taking pictures of the scene and a stabbed Copeland. Cops were being slightly over diligent in their jobs, leading to the two Hawks being taken In.
I hadn't figured Thabo to be that kind of guy. I mentored a kid from France who played internationally and Thabo was his friend/training partner. He spoke very highly of Thabo. What a mess. I hope Copeland is alright.
Because LeBron wasn't stabbed, Copeland was, or it would be 24/7 news and ESPN would be on leBron bedside vigil. Not to make jokes, I genuinely believe that. Also, the "nothing good happens after 2 AM" saying continues to be true.
I thought it was "nothing happens at 12pm" damn, I missed the fun for an extra 2 hours believing that.
I mean I know it's not a huge name in the NBA, but a dude got stabbed and went to the hospital... You'd think Fox and ESPN would be all over this.
Saw that... really disappointing. MORE disappointing though is that THIS is what will blow up the news, not the fact that a guy was stabbed, but that there was unfortunate circumstances with Thabo.
