He played those 30 min games with Lebron out, and with Ariza/THT too he's our last big forward. With a full roster we'll probably see less of Melo until things really matter.

It's such a pure shot that if it's from deep and he has at least 2 inches of separation, I don't think there's a bad shot to be had there. Sure if he's off and he's clanked 4 or 5 in a row, it's time to take a break. But I'd much him hoist up 10 3s than Bron doing so.

Yeah, I feel he's the best shooter on the team, honestly. I have no problem with him taking threes almost as much as he wants. That's why he's here.

Almost shooting 50% from 3 so far. He isn’t very good on the defensive end but he is putting effort in there too.

It would be a nice touch for him to finish his career similar to Dwight as a key piece who let his game change to what the team needs

If Joe Dumars had just went the safe route, Carmelo would have helped the Pistons beat the Spurs in 2005 and likely would have beat the Heat in 2006, AND beat Lebron on 2007. Carmelo really got shafted not getting drafted by Detroit. His career would have been completely different when it comes to winning and titles. He could be sitting on at least 2 titles.

The Darko disaster. Did Detroit ever blow that one. I don't like Detroit but I actually thought it would have been so smart of them to draft Melo.

Not only that, but he probably becomes a very good defender too by being baptized in that culture.

The ECF battles every year with Bron would've been epic.

I do not think a team has been set back more in the NBA the last 30 years more than the Pistons. That mistake cost them a possible dynasty. The only thing I would have worried about was Larry Brown pissing off a temperamental Carmelo Anthony at the time. Allen Iverson gets a lot of heat for being a pain in Philly but I think Larry Brown was the guy that messed things up more. The players that played with AI never had a bad thing to say about him. Larry Brown never lasted anywhere for too long due to his inconsistent whining.

Totally agree. If AI had a coach who had his back, everyone's perception of him would be drastically better. We all know he was a great player but know he didn't like to "practice". Like the guy never worked on his game!?!?!

Didn't one of his friends die or something that day?: so his response was more like why are talking to me about practice when my friend just died

Home Melo continues to cook. Leading scorer with 23, but more impressive was the D tonight. Best D he's played in years.

Now I guess I have to take back what I said about his defensive ineptitude! Honestly, his time so far with us could not have gone any better.

The only bright spot (besides this new, white kid) this season. Keep it up please.
