only playable if hes making shots, his effort on defense is something every coach can use as highlights for NOT what to do on defense
Seriously though, Vogel should have anticipated Melo being a bit drained by his Hero game. It was obvious pretty early that his shot was off this game. It's not like he is going to win us any games with his defensive intensity.
He had a bad game, but his looks were clean, they just came up short, he’s old it’ll happen . At least his one bucket was a big one down the stretch.
Followed up his best game with his worst. It happens, expect a better one against his former team. His one bucket was an important one, though.
I looked at his shots again, 3 were short and 3 rimmed out, 1 was a drive to bring us within 1. All the shots were good and in flow. I can live with that because more times than not they're gonna go down.
Melo is actually much much better than I anticipated. Pretty good on D actually and his offense...very very nice.
That 3 ball is money. I didn't think he'd be such a popular Laker from the jump. Since the first time he entered game 1, Staples has gone wild for him. It's fun watching his interaction with the front row when he's raining 3s. I liked how he took it inside a couple times early tonight. Helped him get going after a couple games where he was a little off.
