That was a hell of a game, been a while since I had that much fun watching a Laker game. Nice he did it in a win too, we needed every one of those buckets.
He gave us one of those scoring performances that we used to hate watching a few years ago, bravo Melo. A hell of a milestone too.
Looking at the list, if he averages 15 a game over the remaining 79, he'll catch Shaq. I don't think he'll play all 82 so that'll have to be a bit higher PPG. But If he's getting 23 MPG down the stretch (26 MPG right now) , it's definitely doable.
I hope Melo sticks around and hits the 30k with us. Would be nice to do it at the end of his 20th season trying to repeat. Would be a great way to send him off!
He's going to get these types of looks all season. If he shoots 38 plus % and we find ways to mitigate his defensive weaknesses, we're golden.
What a game by Melo. I think the last time he shot that well (6 threes on 75%+ shooting) was almost 5 years ago. Also 2nd highest +/- on team overall, at +22 across all 3 games.
It’s a shame we never got to see Prime Melo and Lebron play together. Lebron setting Melo up is just fun to watch.

Yup. Maybe his defense is lacking (nothing too egregious from what I’ve seen), but even if so, people underestimate our need for offensive firepower. Melo’s instant offense has been a huge plus for us in all 3 games IMO.
