Classic Ham: kinda has a good idea but doesn't seem to work thru the process. By having Cam set the screens that takes away the other team from having to ignore him in the corner. The problem with him screening for Lebron is that even with James becoming an elite 3 pt shooter no team ever is going to go over the screen or theyll just switch to prevent he driving lane. Now if Cam was screening for AR (or DLo) that should have been the play call as AR can hit the 3 of they go under and if they go over he's get the extra momentum he needs. Unless Vando comes back they are trying to figure out how to play Cam because they need his defense. Finishing lineup is going to be AR Spencer and LeBron but against certain teams like the Kings, Denver your going to need to figure a way to make the offense work with Cam because on defense, transition, the glass Lakers look good
I just wish this dude could develop either a consistent jumper or drive to the hoop. I mean, is this too much to ask out of a NBA player??? Love his defense, but he’s the most offensively challenged Laker I have ever seen. He’s even worse than Travis Knight!
It would help if Ham didn't play him with Prince and Hayes. Reddish defense and rebounding and motor still look very good He's a limited offensive player so his role should be more to help the starters with a tough defensive matchup
ha! Travis actually gave me hope that an unathletic, skinny white dude could be good enough to make the NBA. I only needed to grow eight inches.
Cam Reddish out tonight vs the Raptors. So much for the much anticipated jersey swap with Gradey d***.
Odd. That's too far back for me to even have an inkling. Googled 16th and Reddish. There was an injury update on that day. Maybe that. Irwin and Woike were talking last week, he's currently expected to opt in. So at the moment, if he isn't traded, he'll be back
Reddish is like a homeless version of Trevor Ariza… who happened to get possessed by Kwame Brown If he played within himself and just focused on defense, when healthy I think he provides actual value. But his BBIQ is virtually nonexistent, so that’s never going to be the case for more than a short stretch. I think he probably opts in, but would love if we could find a way to use him as salary filler in a trade
Reddish was OK, he just couldn't stay healthy. Not sure how much is reasonable to expect on a vet minimum.
him opting in is probably helpful in the end, as we'd have a cap hold in roughly the same amount anyway, and now he can be added to a trade if need be. i liked the brief jolt he gave us defensively when we were floundering early last year, but yeah, he's not a rotation player.
