Cam Reddish Discussion: Starting

this has to be some arrangement rob made (probably with ham's blessing) when he signed cam. he's going to get a fair look in real games (guessing a minimum of 10?) before we abandon the experiment and just let max take the role. it's the only explanation i can come up with.

His jumper is even more broken than Vando - teams are just way too good at making offenses pay by keeping non shooting threats on the court

 

Fantastic against both PG and Kawhi. Active hands caused a lot of disruption. I think Ham waited too long to go back to him in the 4th, PG was already cooking at that point and when he was back in, he was on Kawhi who at that time wasn't nearly the threat PG was. The big 3 PG made was on DLO, that's a bad matchup.

His 3 is ugly. I like that he was trying to attack, I think he make a difference offensively if he drives after the catch on the 3 pt line.

A+ for Cam Reddish in my book. Incredible defense on their star wings. I really hope he continues to get more PT if rui and Vando continue to be out.

 

The exciting thing is that his whole career he’s probably seen himself as a “star” that had the potential to run an offense.

So just focusing on being a defensive specialist is still a new concept to him, and he’s showing he has the tools to be good at it.

If he keeps grinding and learning how to excel in this role, he could carve out a spot for himself in this league even if he doesn’t shore up his offensive limitations

 

Cam was clutch defensively. He’s an offense player historically, the shots will eventually fall. Just keep playing defense like this and we’re good.

 

He would get a massive contract: I mean 60 million plus if he could just hit that corner 3 with any regularity. Really tough defender, good hops both on offense, and defense. and outside of that stupid too close closeout on George doesn't do stupid things on the court

Next man up. Really REALLY good game from Cam. It's easier to be impactful when you aren't playing in 3-4 min bursts. Just glad we still have size with so many of our forwards out, he played good defense on Kawhi and PG.

 

Pretty fun to watch. Going to really help us. Cam and Christian coming in as defenders.

 

Even on the makes, he contested as well as anyone could. PG was in a ridiculous zone.

 

Our depth REALLY showed tonight...with Vincent, Rui, Vando AND Prince all out...we pulled it out and in large part due to Cam showing up.

That block he had on Kawhi was mad impressive...I barely ever see Kawhi get blocked on his jump shots and Cam blocked the s*** out of him.

Even tho both Kawhi and PG went off...I felt liek they really had to work for all of their shots and you could see Kawhi was GASSED by the end of it...

 

lol, PG has like three of those in him per year, and we got the win anyway.
