he's also a guy that the coach likes and trusts. and i like what i see from him on the floor, too. he's just a case where the stats really don't match the rest of information.
There is some good behind the scenes stuff in there and a better understanding of how the heart issue affects him somewhat still but he's getting stronger and stronger. That's what he was told he HAD to do to be able to play like the good players in the league at his size, is get his cardio fitness up to elite level. And yeah Gabe was mentioned multiple times as helping him. Sounds like a real good locker room dude as will Marcus Smart be with a bigger personality.
Good read and explains a lot of what he has been going through The G coach, Guthrie got in his ear and challenged him and he responded well He's putting in the work to get in top shape with not only workouts but diet Shying away from the spotlight while he improves Hoping he gets it all together and becomes a solid NBA player Can't help but pull for him
Good that he was challenged to improve his defense or loose playing time Now about getting those hands up...
i wonder if featuring bronny on the g league team is why we kind of moved off olivari? maybe i'll look silly later, but i'm not sure spending a ton on developing bronny's on-ball game is the best use of time. i just don't think he can be an nba pg. he's a small sg who can defend either spot. the league has spots for these types (e.g., gpII, melton, avery bradley, etc.), but none of them are running pick and roll for a team that wants to win basketball games. i'd honestly be playing him at sg in the g-league and having him work only on in-game catch and shoot and defending the other team's best perimeter player every trip down. that's his eventual role at the next level, if he has one.
