Yes, but more importantly he can probably get a pretty nice contract this summer. No way he was settling for 1/4 million when he could probably get 4/20 or something this summer when the cap explodes.

Precisely, it was a dead certainty he was going to opt out.

What a waste of a good player. I was so stoked we signed him when we did. The Boron decided to make him a 5 and he spent half the season trying to adjust before he got back to the good play we expected from him from the start. Ugh. Just another example of Boron screwing us.

Yep it's in my sig. Ed Davis last year and they let him go too. Thing is I bet Black wants out too after Byron screwed him over. Perfect. I think Roy still wants to be here. :D

Can't blame him. He was totally misused under Byron's "leadership". There's a few playoff contending teams that could use his services. To be honest, I'd rather give his minutes to Nance anyway to help his growth and development.

Eh, as I said before, I never cared for him that much. I think it was his personality never grew on me.

I could take him or leave him honestly. Just means more time for Black

I'd be down for Bass. He was definitely misused with Byron. But I want Nance to get minutes, along with Randle and Black. Not much room for Bass. Unless Luke wants to go small with him at center, but when Byron did that we sucked and everyone shat on him.

I agree with others; it's either Black or Bass. We don't need both but we definitely need to keep one or the other.

Yeah would like to see his mins go to Black and Nance but he is the sort of veteran we need on this team.

bass is probably going to have to wait out FA for a while. if he's cheap again, i'd take him, even with black and nance. injuries happen, and the young guys need to see a positive role model like bass.

I agree abeer. I would take him too...if the price is right.

If he would agree to 5-6 mio. type of contract for 2-3 years. that would be a very good steal.

Not a chance he only gets/takes 5-6 million. Maybe your right if the salary cap wasn't going up but because it it he'll get more.

    Will Black?

One of them has to, or by all that is logical post "Boron the a-hole" era ..... we should do what's needed to keep at least one of them. If I had to choose between, maybe Black, under Luke, and being younger and bigger and already having the nickname, "Boom Boom" ..... would be the better choice, but either way the FO will need to step up and spend a little bit of that cap space. Don't Ed Davis the roster again.
