Tyson likely still has enough power to knock out a horse. The problem for him at this point is he'll probably only have enough to go one round before he tires himself out and starts drunk punching. Man, if Tyson was at his prime today, he'd be the highest earning athlete. This guy would have drawn insane PPV records.

I think the fight will go something like this. I don’t think Roy Jones Jr can keep Tyson off of him, and Tyson will definitely not be afraid of his punching power.

Somewhere Marvis Frazier is trying to tell Roy don't do it.  Seriously there was a clamor for it and someone made this fight?

Yes he’s been in training and is working his way up in rounds of sparring.

it’s always hard for athletes to let go of what was, and I think the only way this happens is under the label of “exhibition”

Not sure any governing body is going to approve or sanction a legitimate about, but you never know.

There's talk of him fighting Canelo Alvarez. I can hear Stephen A. Smith afterwards peppering every sentence with the word "beatdown" talking about it like he did the Pacquiao fight. Still makes me laugh to this day.

He has zero chance in that fight. It would be just for the payday.

Mike's looking pretty good. I haven't seen any Roy Jones Jr. clips yet.

Wonder if he had the "twinkle" going? :giggle:

Dang looks like he dropped a lot of weight. What's the age of both these guys now? Google is .... just .... soooo .....hard to do. ;)

    Edit ..... then I remembered I'm a giver. :) Roy is 51. Mike is 54. Wow!

Can Roy Jones Jr keep Tyson off him? Roy has never had great defense, but was always an elite athlete that could avoid getting hit clean.

I don't think Tyson will respect his power at all, so I kind of feel like we are going to watch a short fight with Tyson basically mugging him and knocking him senseless.

Unless Roy is VERY mobile and can stick and move for 2-3 rounds, I'm just not seeing this working out well. Tyson must know he needs to take him out early and will chase him down is my guess. But guys in their 50's? Dang.

calling that a draw was generous to Roy Jones Jr.

He effectively played defense most of the fight, and was busier tying Mike Tyson up than trying to fight. He barely landed any punches.

Anybody thinking they could turn back the clock and reenter the ring professionally though walked away from this knowing that isn't possible. Dudes are way too far past their prime, and luckily weren't able to really hurt each other.

I have a feeling it was agreed upon before that if the fight went the distance it would be a draw. I can’t explain what Paz thought he saw.
They both looked better than I thought they would and it was more intense than I expected. I wonder if mike intentionally threw his hardest punches to the body and only went to the head later when both lost their zip?
