    Executive/GM of the year?

Also watch Russell get 2nd team because screw us, right?

I was happy to see Kawhi Leonard win DPOY. I love Draymond's game, but Kawhi really gets after it on D and deserves it. He's building quite a resume.

Why in the world did Jamal Crawford get 6th man? Does the award now go to the biggest chucker that comes off the bench?

hasn't that always been it? they don't give it to utility bigs.

Yes, you're correct. It's almost always the case.

I don't agree with it though. It makes sense to me when the they are legitimately good at what they do. Ginobili, Terry, Harden, etc. were all great at scoring off the bench. Crawford himself at one point was a legitimate candidate.

This year though, Crawford was subpar at basically everything except number of attempts. I don't think he deserved it over any of the 3 guys directly behind him (Iggy, Kanter, Barton).

I don't think Iggy played enough.

I'd have given it to Kanter, but I knew it wasn't going to happen.

kanter's just sort of a big chucker, though, right? in that all he really brings is scoring, and that his scoring is unlikely to occur against top competition (hence the bench).

iggy would have been a break with tradition, and a sensible one.

Is that any different than Crawford though?

And Iggy missed too much time to be considered really.

Kanter was at least shooting 57%

Yea, Kanter is a chucker, but he at least does so efficiently. He was also a good rebounder this season. Per 36, he averages 21.7 ppg and 13.9 rpg.

Iggy played 65 games. He played 14 games less than Crawford and 17 less than Kanter, so the missed time is a legitimate argument. However, I'd still take Iggy for 65 games than Crawford for 79.

    this was my point.

as for fg%, kanter takes shots closer to the hoop, in general, and gets set up by others. I view him and Crawford as similarly valuable and in similar roles.

    iggy's better than both.

Again though Iggy didn't play enough to get real consideration. I'd prefer Kanter to Crawford. Kanter's game is more sustainable even if he's far from perfect.

No disrespect to Leonard but I have a problem with Green not winning the award after the 2 latest seasons he had on D .

Should have won it last season

Leonard won DPOY last season despite missing 18 games .

6th man award is the worst ... voters are just looking at per game numbers
