I hope mgmt is still going to give him 1 considering the 2 coattail riders (waiters, jr trash) are getting 1 for doing basically nothing

they would've been even more dangerous in the bubble with bradley's defense and 3 pt shooting

I am super mad what Bradley did to us. Deng is more worthy of a ring for us.

You don't know or don't care about his reason? Guessing you don't know.

Sure he might have had a legitimate reason, but it would not then be appropriate to jump back on our bandwagon now we are champions.

His young son is immune system compromised. Not a question of "legitimate" or that he didn't want to play in the bubble for 3 months. Nor would it be a case of him jumping back on the bandwagon. In fact it will be a real problem for him going forward. Don't know what happens with Avery now.

Yeah, it's a bit of a conundrum what happens with AB. He was great for us during the reg season. But ... we didn't actually need him for the playoffs so that's kind of a knock on him and whether he comes back.

If he only opted out because of his son I would give AB the total pass for protecting his family. The thing that's bothering me is that at first Avery Bradley sided with Kyrie Irving about not playing in the bubble for social reasons. I'm ok with his feelings but the fact that he kind of pulled Dwight Howard along with him and he had to get talked off the mountain by his teammates doesn't quite sit right with me. AB being so vocally against Lebron's take on the situation that they could make more of an impact by playing and siding with Kyrie might have been the straw that broke the camel's back. Not sure AB can come back and fit in this locker room after that in addition to missing the playoffs.

The thing is no AB meant Caruso got more time and KCP became a starter. I think that actually worked in our favor. I would maybe try to package Bradley along with Kuz and DG for a really good guard/wing if at all possible.

Ahh Guys ..... forgot or wasn't fully aware of that part. Then you have a point Aussie. Still totally expect him to get a ring. Jeanie's not going to question his motive.

how is he jumping back on the bandwagon? What is he supposed to do, ask the team to void his contract and refuse to be a part of the franchise? Have we forgotten that the Lakers team voted to leave the bubble at one point? He did what was best for his family. We were fortunate that guys like KCP and AC had the chance to step up, but I'm not here for any "bandwagon" talk.

No chance Avery opts-in if he knows the Lakers will trade him and knowing the Lakers, they will let him know if he will be traded. I'm indifferent. I think Avery's defensive focus for the regular season set the tone for us and like Frank Vogel stated, beating the Bucks and LAC before the pandemic struck gave the Lakers a huge boost of confidence and that win vs LAC is largely attributed to Bradley playing great.

I don't think we were ever going to leave the bubble, but people have taken it too literal.

Bron and his mates (CP3?) just wanted to get as much attention out of the issue before returning and playing, as well as reiterate to the NBA just how powerful the modern player can be if they want to be. But, as much as they wanted to look like heroes of social change and get recognition for it, they are primarily basketballers, and in their minds, businessmen. They were always going to want to compete for a ring (and maintain their wealth).

I personally feel the Clippers motivations were a little different. Some of their players were struggling mentally in the Bubble. But most of all, they only wanted to be there to play the Lakers, so were going to quit because we pretended we would. It's no wonder they weren't ready for what the Mavericks and Nuggets threw at them.
