Caruso is probably happy in Chicago. Not being wanted by a team after you tell them you will take less money to stay, leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Maybe one day he will find his way back to us and hopefully before he hits the Ariza part of his career.

It does help having Reaves to take my mind off our loss though.

What was more impossible odds wise …. to have Kobe show up immediately as MJ 2.0 or Reaves immediately as the Eagle (in value) 2.0?

He reminds me of Jeff Hornacek for some reason.

Me too. Although he's obviously a better playmaker/passer and not as good of a shooting marksman.

Hornacek was actually a very good playmaker and averaged 6.6 assists in his second season in the NBA. On the other hand, at that stage he was also not as good of a shooter as we remember him at his peak. I cannot copy paste the stats but I was also surprised to see his early career stats compared to how I remember him.

I guess Austin reminds me of prime Jeff Hornacek LOL.

Agree Horny was a pull 3 point shooter: Reaves game is definitely more like Ainge. Ainge was more agile and he had a lot of tricks in the bag

I agree, but I still don't think Caruso was worth $9+M/year. Especially now with the emergence of Reaves. Looking back, the mistake we made was choosing THT over him, as Caruso would have been a slightly more valuable trade chip.

Not really since he added the extra muscle. Has a good frame on him too to get stronger. You know me am a leg guy and he’s got good ones … where he pulls his lower body leverage from.
