Not surprising with AR. The only question is NBA season conditioning and a series of summer workouts won't tell you anything in that regard.
I want to deny it to my core but HBK reminds me of Ainge when he plays the court awareness and peskiness. This may be the snag in any deal going forward with Utah, Ainge wants his avatar in court and low key longing to have Reeves included in a Brick deal
he already squeezed stan out of us, totally unnecessarily. guessing utah won't even keep him long-term. it was just to make us pay.
Austin is our starting 2, if he's not i'd be shocked. Walker has the potential but he has shown no intangibles or feel for the game thus far. Reeves plays like a 10 year vet. He just knows how to play.
POS is too small at the 2. Ham can't afford to talk all that s*** and then not follow through on it or he loses the team right from the get go.
i think bevs started at sg basically all year last year in minny, right? and given that we play big at 3/4/5, i could see ham justifying starting him. personally, i'd start reaves but play bevs slightly more minutes.
he should extend Reaves/Bryant as soon as he can for 4 years/5 per 20 mil while he can edit: ok nvm that "Contracts covering 1 or 2 seasons (including any option year) cannot be extended." This has been a problem with the way the Lakers do business for ages. We never get one of those killer players on a cheap 4-year deal. We either sign very short term or let good players walk due to their youth while putting together a vet team. And on the occasion we do sign one early Rob has proved he has no skill at guessing which youth will quickly pan out for us (see: THT).
I think Reaves will play backup 2 and a small bit of 3 with either Bev or Nunn starting at the SG spot.
