This kid can ball and he’s a shooter and defender. In some ways, especially with his anticipation and feel for the game he’s AC 2.0. Tough and will get stronger. In 2 areas he’s better than AC coming out of college and it’s apparent ….. tremendous handles and body control / change of pace with the ball and he’s a more pure shooter. It’d be to our advantage to give him as many of Ellington’s minutes as possible.

Yeah... he's rail thin but you can tell he gets the game.

Nah he’s stronger than he looks. Sure over next couple years like AC did he can put on sensible weight and strength up top but I wouldn’t call him rail thin. Wiry’s not even a description I like. Though better than the former IMO. 5lbs or more of good muscle up top will go a long way.

He's solid. I liked him in the second game and said so in game chat.

Admittedly, he didn't stand out in SL to me.

According to a dude on LG, he's also shooting 41.7% from 3 so far this preseason.

Let's cross our fingers he's an NBA player.

I got 2 kids to root for again with HK and THT!

    :Magic Brows:

Scouts and FO collaboration for talent evaluation is off the charts with the Lakers. The “hits” just keep on coming.

Honestly, so far, he has looked like more of a rotation player than Ellington has. Lot's of room to grow, but last night he was a key to our big comeback from 22 down to 1 down.

Yeah he IS more valuable out there than the Duke. He’s hitting his shots from 3 and is a shooter …. quick and nice looking jumper PLUS his value also is that he can play the point and create shots for others and get the ball to them. You’d expect with his THT like aggressiveness dribbling and changing direction and pace that he’d be getting picked and turning it over, but it’s barely happening even in traffic with his handles.

Lots of positives. The most important to me is that he doesn't look around and see who he is playing with and crap his shorts. He knows he has game.

i thought he was the best looking player out of all of our non-star perimeter guys last night. just one game, but if you just wandered in the gym, you wouldn't have thought he was our 14th guy/rookie.

He looks confident and steady out there, hard to ask from a rookie on a team with so many vets. He might find himself in the rotation this year, who knows.

Love your posts Man. Just have a way of putting things. So how many years and what levels of coaching do you have in now?

He's scrappy and has good size. Not afraid to shoot. Just needs to sculpt that body in the gym (and in the kitchen) this year, and he'll be good.

need cap space to do that. We use exceptions, which have restrictions.
