BTW …. we’re getting zero info or any stupid vertical video from Edey’s workout. (I guess vert video could be handy when shooting 7’5” subject in shoes … just not a fan). Maybe no one in FO wants their interest tipped.
Plus … keeping the dream alive …. just maybe Hurley is coming and HE was there at Zach’s workout so no one was allowed inside. Suddenly very quiet around the Lakers’ practice facility/ offices.
And … feeling yappy with a beer buzz on an empty stomach waiting on a dinner get together … I DO hope we get Bronny in the second round. He’s quickly put a lot of this dumb based on a horribly interrupted and affected one and done college career …. “can’t shoot” narrative to rest at the combine and at least in his Lakers workout. Same structured pace as everyone else. Kid obviously has been working hard in prep for the beginning of whatever his pro career has in store for him.
Lol..we have hijacked this thread, Sirron will not approve. Yeah man, I like this kid, I was watching him in the Tournament, and thought, damn..there goes our Zubac. I was a bit surprised , with the late 1st rd evaluations. Made me like him ,even more at 17th though. I'd love it. But jeesh..Rob is a friggin Machiavilian operator, he might using this workout as a smokescreen to prompt another team to show their cards. Meanwhile his eyes are on someone else the whole time.
I can definitely see Bronny, as another one, of our 2nd rd coups, he's been groomed for this moment, for most of his life. That would be another great story. I've gotten over the playoffs already, time to be optimistic again, it's the offseason already for me. Good vibes building
We’re liking each other’s posts way too much. @KareemtheGreat33 gonna put us freaking sitting in a tree together …. let’s talk about Westbrook quick!!
AR ain’t going anywhere. At least I have something to really look forward to next season- someone who gives a showing Austin how he can reach that next level.
I have a feeling JJ is having a hard time sleeping concocting his playbook for the team to take advantage of their strengths. He'll probably be watching a lot of film on each player so he can speak to their strengths and what they need to work on. I'm half expecting him to have detailed personal workouts for each of them to maximize their potential.
That would be really nice for the development of the players Helping them excel to their maximum potential That's what good teams and coaching staffs do
The thing about Ham was not that he just coached a bad series, which he did, he went wrong at the beginning of training camp and just kept getting worse. We are not only going to see a much better version of Austin but everyone else as well. I'm not against upgrades (ice trae for example) but the roster we had is capable of competing for and winning a championship with good coaching. Especially with a healthy Vando. Every player we have is probably better than they showed.
