Take it however you want I don’t care. You’re a grown man(I assume)with your own opinions and so am I.Ive said multiple times I believe AR is a good player but IMO they need an upgrade. The real question is why does my opinion bother or even matter to you?At the end of the day we both want this team to be the best it can and there’s more than one way to achieve that.

So cool it with your snide and goading remarks. I don’t give a crap if we have different opinions. I stopped after I told you mine and you came back with your definitive Murray’s better take. But it’s not a one for one trade and there’s an opposing opinion to yours that AR and assets and picks is too much for a non “major” star. Everyone knows how you feel now.

@LTLakerFan SMDH... is it because you are old and technology averse? I'll show you how to use that specific feature.

I wouldn’t be scared to make that trade. I said I don’t think it’s worth it giving up two starters and two picks for Murray even though I like him as a player. I would do so for Donovan Mitchell but I don’t think that’ll happen.

Well..you have to realize that LT, is the founder and president, of the Austin Reaves fan club.

Any and all, perceived Austin shade, will be immediately addressed, and vigorously rebuffed.

    Lol

He hasn't peaked. Here or elsewhere. Book it. And it's quite a large club here, I'm proud of that.

Seeing fans doing what fans do every year by undervaluing critical role players who can step up into the spotlight and shine from time to time.

Austin is a star. Yes, it really is that simple. The kid is a baller, he continues to improve and teams have to "plan" for his play. Every year we see fans want to get rid of everyone to get another superstar who almost never pans out. We have a team that has Lebron fricken James who is doing what NO ONE HAS EVER DONE year in and year out AND AD on this team. The only guy to consistently show up each game no matter what was AR. AR's game improved, his leadership improved and even his defense each season. We have guys who are "better" than him who couldn't step up be it injury or just not showing up when it mattered. AR shows up.

It is simple for me the Lakers would be stupid to get rid of AR after letting another amazing role player go (the Bald Eagle). Superstars need role players who can make the leap from time to time when their (the stars) games aren't getting it done that day. AR is, as they say, Him.

    Just my 2 cents.

His game didn’t improve.2pt% was down 3pt% was down even his FT% was down. His on/off went from + to -.Now you can argue why that happened FIBA over the summer or more minutes on the court this year or maybe the league just understands his game better now and is making it tougher for him.

It's a whole big wide world of Lakers fans outside of this site. You'd probably be surprised, that they don't all, see things in the same way.

Lakers aren’t trading AR for just anyone. They already stated publicly that the player coming back would have to be a borderline All Star.
I’m a huge Austin fan, but would understand if he were packaged in a trade for a guy like Mitchell, or a little less talented(borderline guy).

reaves is a SMOY quality player on a league average salary. he's also got "winner" intangibles, imo. not trading him for anything short of a perennial allstar.

you can't find players of his caliber in mle FA.

Oh, you too want to hold on to inferior talent because they make less money and are content to be mediocre while some here want to be great.

hey, reaves isn't keeping me from a trade for donovan mitchell or another perennial all-nba player.

i don't get the polarization here, in general.

much like folks suggesing that dlo walking and opening up the full mle for us is a definite win. i'm not so sure, man. i think the likelihood of replacing his value in FA is minimal to zero.

same as if we trade austin (or even rui or vando, tbh) for a marginal short-term upgrade. meh. meh. meh.

Yeah the discussion wasn't Mitchell or other perennial star player. F*** them picks and Reaves and other rotation player(s) and whatever else Atlanta wants for Murray.

I agree that AR can’t be your starter if you have championship aspirations. His splits show he was much better off the bench than starting. In any rate they need to upgrade his spot
