I think if he had bigger hands he would one hand jam the ball. Must just want the safer score with two, and doesn’t like or trust cupping the ball. He certainly gets up high enough to do it.

Being a Laker pays in other ways than just the contract

Austin is fast and very solid handling the ball and scoring on his break aways up court to the rim.

The size and physicality of the Clipps guards and forwards often bother him, they've targeted him in the past. He was game for it in this one. Not only was he getting stops, but was turning them over and creating fast break offense out of it.

I think it's telling that Ham left him in the last possession and kept Prince and Dlo on the bench.
This team has elite strengths - maybe the best C/PF combination in the league, a lot of offensive firepower from the guards, decent bench but the holes of POA defense and lack of rebounding are just so bad.

Vando and Cam just so critical as it allows a guy like Reaves to slide down a notch and he's much better as a secondary defender

He was never bad defensively. People forget him locking Klay and Booker up last season. Something was not right.

My guess is always Pimple, but may be there was something else.
