He’s so much better in the Manu role and that hides some of his defensive shortcomings. Get him out of the starting unit please. That was the only good lineup move that Ham has made this year. He saw he was struggling with the starters and gave him a great role off the bench while still closing games. That part was never broken and didn’t need fixing.

love him in the manu role.

i'm also still interested in seeing the lineup that got us into the second round of the playoffs last year, too. i find it hard to believe the "league figured it out". rather, we ran into better teams uniquely configured to exploit it.

I agree with both of you. Much better off the bench.

They were so desperate against us that they put their faith in a dog to try to believe they were going to come back from a 3-1 deficit .

I don't get why they're making such a big deal about their team's decline .

4 titles and 6 Finals in 9 years , if anything they should enjoy the 2022 title a lot , usually it didn't happen to others dynasties.

The league works by cycles , these guys have really started to watch it in 2015 ..

i don't get it either. it can't last forever. and it wasn't organizational magic. it was curry and then some other fortunate stuff (the latter part happens for lots of teams that don't happen to already have a curry). had they moved moody and kuminga and wiseman (or the picks they used on them) a few years ago instead of insisting they were smarter than everyone and would just build a second dynasty on their own smarts (note bob's quiet exit...he knew...) maybe they have another ring and are better this year. but it was always going to end.

if i were them, i'd be very careful about the next move. someone mentioned them moving wiggins for lavine, and man...i would NOT do that.

anyway, this is the reaves thread. i forgot.

we need to get the dlo situation cleared up in part for reaves's sake. i don't think it's affecting his play, but you can tell he's bothered by the whole situation.

I have a bad feeling he's gonna get traded in a Murray package.. He's the only guy that other teams want.

Austin keeps getting picked on defense. It's not that he's terrible either he's better then DLo but it clearly wears him out

He's not a point guard, he should be out there getting up shots, not trying to run the offense. He is who he is as a defender, but he can absolutely make up for it on the offensive end.

    Still my guy.

I thought he picked up a “little” muscle up top and in his arms his sophomore season but now looks like nothing gained in that regard? Is that what FIBA cost him? It would seem like it could help his defense at least some to be a little stronger.

Still love AR. Much better off the bench. Insert DLo back in the starting lineup.

Of all the questionable things, this is the one that really continues to bother me. Just play the line up that was successful last year. Really feel like promises had to be made to some of the guys we signed.

funny thing is that prince was actually a GREAT bae signing. you rarely get a player of that caliber on the FA market armed only with that exception.

    HOWEVA

we didn't really NEED him. had we not traded for rui and vando last year, we would have both needed him and needed to play him the 30mpg he's getting. but we did, so we don't.

anyway, reaves thread. i think there are configurations where he can start and configurations where he can come off the bench. just get him 25+mpg and have him out there during the most important parts of the game.

Meh…I love the kid. But prefer Klay or Murray. Not Lavine.

Window is now. AR getting targeted every night, just like some Euro/world teams did over the summer. Sick of being the worst 3 point shooting and defending team in the league. Klay with Bron and AD would be very very different and open things up for a lot of people.

IMO he would be doing better offensively if he wasn’t forced to play exclusively at PG.The league has studied him and found the weaknesses in his overall game. Its now time for him to adjust his game accordingly.

It feels like he's played much better off the bench than as a starter

He has! As I mentioned that was the only Ham rotation move I’ve liked this season. Pretty much the rest of them have been nonsensical.
