Reminds me now of John Havlicek but with a bit more flash. Efficient, steady.

    Call him whatever you like.
I call him a complete player who has been a breathe of fresh air amongst the stinky clouds this Franchise has been producing throughout the past two years.

I thought to myself after he followed his missed jumper-“I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw an NBA player attempt this.”

it makes it tough for us contract-wise that he's peaking right at the end of the season, and he's having a similar production to D'Lo since the trade deadline, so technically he's our 3rd best player right now.

I think we'll probably keep him, but I just can't see this organization paying the level of luxury tax needed to keep this team together. There will be sacrifices to cut luxury tax for sure. Hopefully, it's just Bamba and not resigning the vet min guys, but I can see us getting rid of more guys like Beasley or even Rui who have been inconsistent.

Exactly. Combo guard, shooting guard, point guard, Austin is all of them rolled into one. Doesn't make sense to say he can't do something we all see him doing. He does whatever the team needs at the time.

He is going to be a Steve Nash that can play defense. Most of his short career he is very limited in what he has been allowed to do. We see what happens when he is turned loose. Take off the training wheels and give him the ball and we will see explosions like this much more often. Down the stretch with the game on the line I had rather see the ball in his hands than anyone else on our team.

Maravich was a gunner, pure scorer, better handles and much more of a showman. Reaves is a not in the same class yet.

A bit rich in that assement, but he's become a star in his role here this season.

the second guessing on the three year deals is pretty rich here, pincus. so, teams should just eat parts of their exceptions every year to offer every 2nd round pick 3 year deals just in case one ends up really good. when the two-year arenas situation is really not at all a bad thing.

nobody's offering reaves 144 million. no one's even going to offer 80 million.

we already went through this with THT once. we have the tremendous advantage due to the arenas rights, but the media likes to paint it as some sort of difficult situation. it's not difficult at all! unrestricted free agency when you don't have any rights to a player (e.g., monk) is difficult. having a literal cap on what can be paid AND having the right of refusal is not a problem.

THT is playing well sigh - stupid Westbrook. Just couldn't keep him as had the same weakness as Brick but he's turning into the good version of that kind archetype

Yeah, THT made the game winner last game I saw, the brilliant Utah coach lets him handle the ball and play to his strengths

I was always high on him: he's 2 years younger than Reaves! Oh well D.Lo and Reaves will be a better modern NBA frontcourt but one can dream of how tough to score it would have been potentially with THT and Caruso at the 1/2 lol

Right now his role is leading the team so if he is a star in his role he is doing very well. He has no glaring weaknesses and is really good at a lot of things. All he needs is opportunity. When he explodes as a player people will be saying they knew it all the time. Year two and he is our best closer. Even Ham is starting to take notice.
