    Rui. Maybe not.

But the front office loves Reaves. I think he has some pull.

John Fanta doesn't sound really credible now when he claimed we offered $100m to Hurley. He's the only one who reported that "some Lakers players" didn't want JJ.

It's all with a huge grain of salt.

Woj was milking it with this whole story. I guess Shams and all those other guys weren't all wrong after all!

i don't think hurley was ever serious about leaving uconn and used the lakers as leverage to get a massive contract from uconn in the future

the lakers clearly had interest and made their offer, and hurley then got woj on the phone

if they haven't even formally interviewed redick yet, i have a feeling the new HC will be a name we haven't even heard yet

Yeah and Fanta seemed to be speculating when he suggested that maybe some Laker players approached the FO about not liking JJ. I definitely wouldn’t take that as gospel

I knew how much Kentucky offered him, but I thought were going going toward $12-15 million dollars. Anything over $15 million would have had to be incentivized for that number to go higher, but that's where I probably land.

IDK. Sucks. I'll try to get over this, but IDK. Let's see how this plays out...

    yep.

i was one of the few people not angry about the potential of hiring redick and was accused of being a shill for the front office due to it.

well, they screwed this one up.

Why would Vogel want to come back? Vogel got screwed, if you get screwed by your job, do you want to come back? I doubt it!

After the Phoenix failure, whose going to give him a HC job?
Lakers look foolish and Vogel failed - perfect time to correct a past wrong.
He does need offensive help need a guy like Stotts to go with him

LOL. Who saw The Offer? Fabulous series!!! Amazing that movie ever got made in the first place with what they had to go through. Albert Ruddy the original The Godfather producer (just died a couple weeks ago), who was "there" helped produce it. According to the series that scene was semi-legit. Caan DID beat him up a bit including with the trash can lid. In filming earlier he had actually hit Talia Shire in one scene and her face showed it, and was being a d*** to her anyway. So Ruddy and/or Coppola gave him the OK to be super realistic with it.

Yeah. Honestly I was prepared for us to not get him. And there were definitely some risks to the hire.

I was not prepared for us to not go all in with the offer. I was ready and willing to give the front office their credit for bringing this one home. Now we gotta see how they pivot.
