magic mentioned backstabbing as a reason why he stepped down. Most assumed he meant rob.

@Mr. Rambis what other free agents are on our radar?

i must say that mr. rambis--real or not--has been the most interesting thing on the site of late, so thank you for that, sir!

i'm trying to think of a good question that hasn't been asked already...

did we cover how exactly the zubac thing went down? was the press right about it? from the outside, it seems to me that rob simply wants no part of restricted free agency--is that true? almost felt like he thought he was pushing a problem onto the clips' plate in that regard.

how serious are the clips in terms of FA recruitment. some of what you've said implies that they're not much of a threat, but external opinion is that they're the favorites to make a big splash.

do free agents really not care that our front office is in disarray? seems like it would matter...

Almost every Showtime Laker has ruined his rep from the fandom community.

    Magic
    Rambis
    Byron
Norm Nixon for sucking on TV
    Worthy for sucking on TV
    Kareem for being a crybaby
The reason why Magic was backstabbed is because everyone in the organization only saw his back when he was leaving 90% of the time he was suppose to work.

Huh? ..... Never took Cap for a crybaby. You must be confusing him with Roger Murdoch.

Is it the case that New Balance contract monies with Leonard haven't been finalized yet and are contingent on where he signs?

If AEG puts together HUGE dollars to one of the 2 best players in the game (KD) ..... only for the Lakers so they can legitimately market him as the next Kobe to LBJ's Shaq and beyond the next 3 years .... then oh hell yeah I think we have a great shot over whatever Lee Jenkins can create. Sounds like it's what the ten ton gorilla on Figueroa and Chick Hearn Ct. is dictating?

So sitting in the driveway of "the" free agent of that summer, while the tamper clock winds down doesn't count being in the office, right?

This narrative is such trash. He was absentee yet managed to meddle in scouting and drafting players Jesse didn't want to draft. Or is that a faulty narrative as well?

He was involved with AD talks...flew out to check on the kid's feelings when the media hyped it up...and of course theres the broad sense that the Prez isn't day to day while the GM. Utah's GM just got elevated to VP and this is how Woj reported on it:

So we knew of his whereabouts for 2 hours, and that means we are to assume he was working 40 hours a week the rest of his tenure there? I spent 8 hours at Disneyland last week. I suppose that means I spend at least that every week?

Oram's absentee report can kiss my a**. Woj, a Boston Stan, using that report to s*** on Magic can also kiss my a**.

Woj in his own words described the difference between VP and GM. Y'all stay wild!

And @Savory Griddles you at Disney more than just 8 hours. Everytime I'm on Soarin' we all know your citrusy a** was there.

Magic should be used for other purposes; a POB is not one of them.

Really special timing on the exit now. But if it's true as seemingly well informed sources have mentioned now (Ramona ? early on) and even yesterday here, that there was some kind of harassment story coming from ESPN if he stayed .... just maybe that explains why he had to get out as quickly as possible in return for killing that story?

not really debating on the hows/whys of that Turd quitting, when everyone is reporting he's an absentee Exec and the counter to that is 2-3 instance of him "showing" his presence, its kinda of sad
