They've won 5 of their last 7. In that span, they've beaten the Grizz and the Texas trifecta. It's also opened up things for DeAndre Jordan. He's been putting up ridiculous numbers with Griffin out of his way -- 18 & 20. Does Griffin bring anything to the table that they can't live without? Something else to ponder: They have over $40m tied up between CP3 and Griffin with Jordan hitting FA this summer. Would you bring back Jordan at the expense of shopping Griffin? I don't think they can afford all 3 and still fill the roster with talent. They have potentially 11 FAs this summer.
After seeing what Jordan can do, it's almost impossible for them to NOT pay him a big load of cash. I kind of hope the Lakers draft a guard and then make a big push to bring in Jordan as our rim protector. Not only would it help our cause, but it'd weaken their team quite a lot.
^If we bring back Lin (for a reasonable price), Jordan would have a nice PG to spoonfeed him in the paint like CP3 does.
