Man am I glad I didn’t watch this one.
I wouldn’t hesitate to trade AD if another star and picks came back our way. 90% because of his inability to stay healthy and 10% due to the fact that he’s not a leader.
I can’t ever remember another game like this in which he cost the team the win. This one just came at the worst time in the season.
I agree that our FO won’t trade AD until LeBron leaves.
Once again, the margin for error with the AD/LeBron pairing is razor thin, so I completely understand some of the over reaction.
The thing that isn’t debatable is that there have been many games throughout this season where AD just isn’t engaged. This is concerning and perplexing to me that it’s happening at this point in the season.

Yeah, I really don’t understand it because just recently he had that stretch of games in total Beast mode. He looked like he wanted everyone to talk about him being the best player in the League and then for some reason, he reverts back to passive AD.

i dont think its him being passive, certain team defense can neutralize him, like tor who is big/fast everywhere and can sworm him, dall has klieber/powell/woods all can do a solid job of handling him in the paint and of course any double team will give him problems

Well, that’s just my opinion. Like I said, I didn’t watch this game, but he started out the entire first month of the season not looking engaged or playing with any passion at all. Throughout this season, this same behavior came up in many games. I completely understand how sometimes he gets completely neutralized by doubles, but for me, this is a separate issue.

i agree bout being passive. he doesn't demand the ball nor gets aggressive in the paint trying to establish position, if he was around during the Center era with Shaq, Yao, Mouring, etc. he would get wrecked

Yes- he wouldn’t even be allowed to play C in that era.

I've been a Ludabrow fan his whole career but my god last night, the last minute was brutal. There's no getting around that. That was westbrick level. There's nothing I can say in his defense.

He just showed no awareness. Why sag off so hard? A Kyrie two isn't even gonna hurt you that bad.

AD has lost us 4 games on free throws this season. Lebron lost us a few with his last second 3 heaves from way out. The refs have taken 3-4 as well.

    It’s just a lot.

We move on to the next game. Trading AD is a ridiculous overreaction.

Max players want the big bucks but not always the expectations that comes with it. Sorry if AD is not up for that type of accountability, but it’s part of the package.

irving took his team home from behind.

AD lost the game for his team from ahead

Feel bad for AD: he's iced several games this year Indiana, TO, a few others in the post on tough shots.
For some reason the FT's have gone the other way unfortunately.

And on top of that he was awesome, superstar awesome in the 4th quarter till the dumb foul. But that's the game if you want to be in the stratosphere you have to finish particularly in these games.

I still like this team after the trade a lot - think they'll get past it

Kyrie doesn’t have the mamba mentality. He is a fruitloop and will sit out half a season for no reason.

AD missed some free throws, but he has also been incredible in many games too playing at a level no more than 8-10 players can get to in this league.

You take the good with the bad.

no. you qualify the good and complain incessantly about the bad.

and yeah, pining for kyrie is some stuff. keep him in dallas, please. bkn saved us from ourselves by demanding more from us than from dallas in trade.
