I mean move him away from center so he doesn't have to play vs them and he can roam and do his thing which is how he is effective and he stays fresher thus his game actually shows up

I think teams are going to load up, on any decent bigs they can find myself. The NBA moves in cycles. I can see a drift back towards allowing a lil more contact. That Memphis series would have been more difficult, if they had Clarke and Adams. Looney gave us some issues, and the Warriors will probably look to add some more size. Finally Denver taxed him trying to cover everything defensively, and they have some size.

Every season is different, you can't always just look at it, from what happened this season. The other teams will make some roster adjustments to counter a percived threat.

If I'm an opposing GM...throwing size at AD is a legit tactic. He has an injury history and he's the only big that we have.

    Free Myles Turner!!!

I was even more impressed with his switches on Murray. They actually faired pretty well.

Is our spacing/shooting really that bad? I mean how did it limit us in the playoffs? D'Angelo didn't hit his shots true, but Beasley supposedly brought all this gravity, by just being on the floor. That proved to be incorrect. AD isn't really a back to the basket low post scorer, he likes to face up and attack. Lebron sans sore foot, can still get into the paint whenever he wants to.

We continue to look for "shooters", to open up the floor. However a lot of shooters tend to be poor defenders, and end up getting taken out the game, because teams exploit that. I think we got outshot from 3 in the playoffs, by about 150 pts or something. Did it really matter?

Lebron had his worst season in forever from 3, AD doesn't shoot many. We still got to the Conference Finals. I'm all for having the ability to hit some 3's, but I don't believe that we lost to Denver due to poor spacing.

We lost to them because with an injured LeBron, they were the better team.

That's the problem though , some fans expected Lebron to be healthy and to be the best player on this team

I think we should all expect AD to be the best player on this team.

I like the idea of Brook Lopez coming back.
True center, solid D, big body, and stretch 3. If his health is good, it’s an interesting fit.

I have been and will continue to be an AD supporter but every year I do end up saying the same things about him. This is just my very humble opinion bc I have no idea what he does in the off-season. In the past few years he has looked and acted like a player to me that has not kept himself ready in the off-season. It is more than just the injuries. It is things like mental focus, showing up to some games ready and not others, drifting in and out of focus on offense, free throw shooting dropping off, body language, apologizing for not showing up and promising to do better but that only lasting a game or two and then apologizing again. Players need a base level of conditioning to work off of. You have to be in good enough condition to work hard enough to get better. I have seen players coming into seasons for decades and I can always tell on my team who has put in the work. I know I'm just high school but I think it still pertains. There is no doubt AD is a great talent and what we get from him would be difficult to replace. I gripe about him at times bc I think he could be so much more. He does not look like a player that loves basketball to me. He is great anyway but without that love for the game it makes putting in the work during the off-season difficult. I'm not suggesting staying in full season shape, that doesn't make sense either and can be detrimental. I would like to see him do an off-season workout that kind of keeps him humming along and makes revving up for season much easier. Add a little to your game. Maybe he does all that and I am just not seeing it. Maybe my expectations are too high but I think there is another gear to AD we get glimpses of and I want to see it more often. A coach can't make a player the first or second option on offense unless they know that guy is going to show up at least 90+% of the time.

I have no idea as to what AD does or doesn’t do in the offseason to improve or stay in shape. What I do know is that both he and LeBron played the majority of the first month like they really didn’t care. We did have a very bad roster, but that was a separate issue.

I think when Reddick, a midsized mildly athletic white sharpshooting player calls you out as beta, it’s probably true and may sting a little.

AD gets way too much flack. Lakers again have won 6 out of 7 playoff series when he is healthy.

Lebron not busting a tendon despite making a ton of late.season moves, a rookie coach, could easily be on their way to winning another title.

I think a lot of this is because defense isn't sexy and he was literally incredible in terms of defense these playoffs. And just as importantly when he does have it on offense it looks effortless all those jumper floaters just look woah.
