They actually didn't take a dump offensively in crunch time. They posted a 121.1 offensive rating in crunch time (which would be 5th over the duration of a season). The problem is they gave up a 162.5 rating to the Nuggets. Defense and rebounding were the biggest issues. That's where everyone (with the exception of AD ) needs to lock in more.
What.the hell happened to him on that MPJ bump? That looked like just about any old regular bump in basketball and AD crumpled. He was just a shell after that. Kind of just got lost? He was having a dominant game and the Lakers had both Lebron and AR cooking and then AD becomes on handed.
AD was our best player by far in the series, but let's bash him for getting injured with 6 minutes left.
He was as good or arguably the better player vs Joker in the series. Aggressive and played his a** off both sides of the ball and on the boards. And yet the double labial strain blast even if clearly a joke. If not a joke that’s messed up after the series and the whole year he gave us.
I understand getting frustrated with that injury, but AD is the last player to blame on this team for us not advancing.
Yes. And especially “that” shot and doubled down on. I “heart” sirron but I told him a week ago he would eagerly pounce again first chance with any injury, regardless of AD being an iron man basically for last season and a half including playing through pain and small injuries with an incredible season this year.
Gets it. Pile on people. Players deserve it when they lose. Unleash your inner beast. Focus your anger on easy targets. Beta males. I actually truly think Ham was our biggest issue this year. Although that injury seemed suspect, there’s no doubt he was out best player during that series. But it wasn’t enough. Would have loved to see him demand the ball down the stretch when Ham was forgetting him. But he didn’t because he’s beta. Some things are what they are. no way Kobe doesn’t get shots in the 4th though. We’ve been given an impossible precedent for other players to follow. They will all come up short. If they can’t handle it, they ain’t the one.
if we don't end up with luka at some point, edwards would be a nice consolation price or both i suppose
Laker fans are the best. We have to admit we are spoiled and expect that we deserve all of the all-time great stars on our roster at some point lol.
Respectfully you’re out of your mind if you are suggesting in a close out game that close that he did anything other than do what he could do afterward or embellished it in any way. You think he didn’t want to win that game? Words have meaning and trying to tell when you’re just screwing around about AD or really being serious is work so will assume that quote wasn’t a joke.
You know what happens when you assume… but regardless of the injury being serious or him being soft, the result was the same as an athlete, I’m returning with the mindset that will never happen again. The game plan is out on playing AD. Get physical with him. He may fold or get injured, settle for bad shots, etc. Have fun in the Olympics
You’re hilarious with your trolling AD logic because again, respectfully and I mean that …. it’s that bad. And you can’t work harder in the off season that guarantees you won’t get a s*** happens injury which obviously it was. You honestly would say the same stuff if he broke his right wrist in a fall from a dirty hack in the air.
You took suspect to mean I doubted the injury, but what I saw was such little contact, I was surprised and had that type of reaction. not much you can do in the off-season about that
