They are and I agree but they do have weight. They affect earning potential. Bonuses are often triggered by individual accolades and the kind of extension they're eligible for as well. Then it plays with career retrospect and where they match up vs those who came before, their place in the history books and the HOF. AD wasn't as good as X because X had 3 DPOYS and 2 championships. 10 years from now that's a verbatim conversation that's being had in determining his legacy.
Regular season awards mean nothing cause even if you're try to be unbiased as much as possible , not a single person is able to watch at least 80% of the games of 30 teams
of course he suffers a pretty significant injury right before the playoffs after playing the most RS games in his entire career they're not going anywhere in the playoffs without AD at 100%
Davis (back) has been cleared for Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game against New Orleans, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports
Big fts and rebounds at the end. Thought he was great on the glass all night and held up strong defensively. On offense is where the back injury was apparent. Just didn't have it. Missed ones that are easy for him. Rest it up and hopefully he's better by Saturday.
he was having some trouble moving laterally and elevating on defense, too. i think he should look better with a couple days off.
We knew he was hampered by the back spasms, but he gutted it out with 40 minutes and a huge 20/15/3 game. I will also add - SUPER clutch ft's from AD. it's been great watching him do that pretty much all season long. Now it's time for AD to really show out against Jokic - this is the ONE guy that AD has struggled against since last year...need him to go RIGHT AT Jokic on the other end and tire him out....
AD needs to be himself when it comes to finishing at the rim .. He was 17 out of 31 against Denver in the WCF 75% this regular season , 76 % in 22-23
