The empty stat beta's lack of impact becomes pretty clear when he's off the floor for extended periods of time.
There is no excuses to losing by 34 to a middle of the pack team in the NBA ever. Our problems go way beyond AD. AD still is who he is, and that is a 2nd star. He can't take you home on his own, but he is an outstanding player. ahem *when healthy*
this is why the in-game plus/minus doesn't always tell the story. we're able to run some lineups solely because we have AD. without him, the dregs of the league whip us.
Prediction: 15-20 min tops before he falls down and aggravated his labia or whatever 3-5 rebounds max no effort running back on D fan excuses waiting in the wings
He should sit out tonight - why risk a significant injury this early on in the season? We should have enough to beat the Suns - the other guys need to step up, that's why we brought everyone back right?
I think he was ready to go against Houston but we played it safe. We are not in a good period so it makes sense not to overthink resting AD. Maybe down the stretch we will be in a better momentum and can afford to do that
If we didn't have enough to beat the Rockets, we really don't have enough to beat the Suns. This is also an in season tourney game, Silver wants everyone who can to play in these.
with AD it only requires 1 injury to start the domino of other injuries, his groin injuries during season after chip season cost him almost half of season along with missing the series vs pho
He should have sat out the start of that season. The playing through the Achilles tightness approach, was not a good idea. I believe the training staff got canned after that campaign.
i'd prefer he sit this one and return the next game. why? 1. we're on the road against a team who needs wins and whom we narrowly beat at home when we had more of our guys. 2. we have a stretch of 7 winnable games (games we'll likely be favored in) after this one (vegas has us as underdogs in this one, and they're right). why not give AD a little more time to get squared away, monitor lebron's minutes, and just take the L here with the idea that we can right the ship in the upcoming homestand. having lebron and/or AD play 40 minutes in an 8-point loss against phx's b team solves nothing.
Sure, that's why he didn't play against Houston. He can't sit the whole season because we are afraid he may get injured lol We have to find a middle ground, he didn't strained the groin or something similar, he had a spasm which shouldn't be serious. I'm pretty sure he was good to go against Houston and we opted (wisely) to play it safe. Now it's time to go and grab this win against another contender in the West
Looked pretty shaky on the offensive end but he contributed what he could (8 out of 8 free throws!). Had a couple of nice pick and roll plays with Dlo and played some good D.
