To me that was a bigger error than picking THT over Caruso or trading Zubac for spare car parts. Lopez was an excellent C that could stretch the floor, provide rim protection, also play inside and also take on a larger usage role if we one of our main guys were out. Theoretically, AD and Lopez would be an incredible front court. Bring in a 3&D wing defender, a combo guard at SG and let Lebron play the defacto PG role like he did in 2020 and we would have been favourites for the last 3 years.
He set the tone, just an absolute beast on the boards and blocking shots, making them afraid to even come around the hoop. I just hope like hell he continues to stay healthy, we can go far if he is right. That alley-oop dunk on Jackson’s head was so fun.
That was nice Not including tonight's game. On the DPOY votes, I demand a recount. *updated 26. Most since Shaq. 16-14-5 Maybe the loudest 9 makes, 16 points I've ever seen. He dominated every facet of this one. Best in the game kind of game in this one. Really liked the DLO/AD two man game. Thing of beauty tonight.
AD is Bill Russell on defense and Dwight Howard on offense, scoring on pick and rolls, alley hoops and put backs. LAKERS win and advance, most importantly
Was this what it was like watching Bill Russell play? That was one of the greatest defensive games I've ever seen by an NBA player
Rodman on the Bulls Olajuwon destroying Robinson Ludabrow destroying takashi 69, the fake dpoy and the grizz
Yeah, mirroring what others said, that was absolutely the most dominant 16 and 14 game I've ever seen. Of course the 5 blocks and multiple shot alterations really told the story. AD was LOCKED IN on D. Bill Russell-esque. That will win a lot of games.
I told you those awards are worthless! Anyone who has watched this series knows who the real DPOY is.
Three blocks in the boxscore at halftime seemed low .. Well his Game 1 and Game 6 performances on D were INCREDIBLE
MVP of today. Easily. When engaged, this guy is simply a monster. Unstoppable. Games like this is exactly why we love AD and the reason he’s here. I am elated w this series win. However, as Kobe once said, job’s not finished.
I'm sick of the narrative that he's inconsistent when it's clear that he was by far the most consistent player this series. His offense was off some nights but his defense was always ON.
AD is the best player left in the playoffs. That is easy for me to say because I think he is the best player period. He keeps playing like this and I can't see any team beating us four out of seven. Especially the way Lebron showed he can still d up tonight. This was impressive. That ball just sticks to AD's hand when he rebounding. He was so focused tonight to do what needed to be done. If we had needed forty points he would have done that too. Nice we didn't need it.
