That's what I'm saying, why flat out lie? Just say you'll manage him on back to backs which makes sense. What doesn't make sense is having him play the 100% loss in Memphis and miss this one against a team we are battling with for a play-in spot
Karacha wrote: >We get stressed every time he falls down< That's been a real sticking point for me. I'm really, really, RILLY effing tired of all that drama. The game's different than when Wilt played every minute of every game one season, averaging OVER 48 mins (due to OTs). AD began playing hard at a young age and the miles on his instrument are already glaring. If AD's unable to play, we're getting effing sick of this jit. If he's doing Load Mgmt, hey: we're tryna make the play-in, so WTF??? Clearly: the book on AD in the NBA is: beat the crap out of him; he'll cave. Had a helluva game against MEM, despite them being very physical. Too bad it was a loss and now? Look, in the past I've charged him with being "soft" many times. Here and in other places. And yet: aye, he's got a million full-court miles on him already, was a guard who grew into a 7 footer's body, etc. It's complicated. I love the dude, but am very sick of this by now.
Complete nonsense. They were all expected to play every game for the rest of the season -- and even if you wanted to rest him, he should have rested against Memphis (who are guaranteed to make the playoffs) and not OKC (the team that we're.... you know... competing with directly). To sum up: this is not the time to load manage.
lol: knowing both DLo and Lebron out you choose to sit AD out against OKC without Shai but play him against Memphis. Really f***ing brilliant. It's so f***ing stupid that the conspiracy theory has a high chance of being correct and he actually did get hurt against Memphis
This FO, along with the coaching staff, is too stupid to think of, then carry out a conspiracy theory.
IF it was actually planned, i get the logic from the load management standpoint. playing the first gives a longer break until next game, which is friday. but why did ham say we weren't load managing? anyway, still think there is, as always, serious overreaction in this thread and am not looking forward to the day when the majority of the board gets its wish and we trade AD for pennies on the dollar and suck for a decade with no hope of contending. at least now if lebron and AD are both healthy, we have a puncher's chance. when russell becomes our best player, 12th place is the ceiling and we're back to sifting through the lonzo balls of the world hoping to find someone half as good as AD.
Crap like this makes me not want to watch the games anymore. As soon as i start getting interest, dlo barely twists his ankle and hes out as if it was a major trauma injury, then this with Davis. Day to Dayvis. Smh…. Must be nice getting paid millions and millions of dollars… pampered sissies.
1. Divisions don't matter, this isn't the NFL. 2. Take the best return you can get. 3. Portland is not in our division.
Maybe we thought that we could beat Memphis with AD and OKC without him? Not all that crazy of an idea actually.
I’m over the whole AD getting hurt every year (except bubble shorten season) while wearing the purple and gold. If he can’t play back to backs while we are making a push to even make the PLAY INS, he’s not the guy for me. Sure he’s a beast when he’s healthy but that just doesn’t happen often enough and the guys not even 30. I’d put him on the trading block and see what I could get. He’s just not available enough for my liking.
