AD wouldn't let us lose this one even though it seemed like we were trying to at points down the stretch. Great game from him with some clutch plays.
I’m late to the party here, but “a scoring Ben Wallace” to describe AD is up there with one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read on either CL or LB.
That's my current assessment on him. He is great but he is soft. Not like physically soft but mentally soft. Paul George-esque. Too bad because I think Giannis and Kawhi are killers. LeBron and AD are both rather underwhelming in that regard.
So soft. After his shoulder injury early in the season magically healed itself, I can’t believe he isn’t banging down low every possession of every game.
It's true, Ben Wallace went 50-32, 50-32 (conference finals), 54-28 (title) 54-28 (finals) 64-18 (conference finals) Need to win a title, make another finals, and two conference finals before I make those types of comparisons. (JK... but Ben Wallace was no joke) It was a dumb comparison made in the heat of the moment... but AD could use some of Ben Wallace's toughness. Or Rodman's.
He's a great piece; he's a superstar, but he is who he is... And he will attract pieces (another superstar here) one way or another. We just have to properly build around him.
We won with Pau, we can win with him. The rest of the team is the concern as far as roster make up and players maximizing their potential.
Not directed solely at you by any means as you have lots of support in this opinion ..... but do any of “us” really have a clue about what was going on with his shoulder at the beginning of the season and whether or not he may be injury “managing” it as he has in the past? IF he is then props to him and how smart would it be during the regular season to be constantly proving his manhood to all of you?
I am just shaking my head at this thread right now. I guess I'm starting to see why therealdeal disappeared. It's so freaking negative that it's kind of mind boggling. It's not good enough that we are in first place in the West. It's not good enough that we have two top five players in the league right now. AD is soft like Charmin and Lebron is useless in the fourth quarter. Wow. It's a bad look people. I feel like I am reading Cookie's Doom from another team right now. Yeah, I'll say it, it's depressing and frankly pathetic. You would think we were a lottery team lately. Personally I'm going to enjoy the winning and try to minimize the whining.
Offensively he's a better ( currently much better) Aldridge . He doesn't want any part of the paint game despite his size advantage . Taking step back 2's and fading away when guarded by the likes of Harrison Barnes
Davis is the better player but Pau was a better post up/player in the paint and COULD pass off double teams ( something AD is bad at)
I have no problems with AD. He's been outstanding. He'll re-sign next year and be here for the next 10 years. He a cornerstone.
He's a closer, he's a legend. He's our go to guy down the stretch. Plays through injury, always there pumping up the guys, salivates at smaller players guarding him and abuses them under the hoop. :Carusohearthands:
