don't shoot the messenger, you guys know the pattern, superstar feels disrespected and wants to prop up his legacy and matter in the whole scheme of things
man, if harden left houston after all that franchise has done for him...they literally put his status in front of winning, imo. they did it because they thought making him a star would make them win, but they've had to trade players, fire coaches, commit to gimmicky systems that alienate non-harden players, they've used cap space to give him huge early extensions... if i were a houston fan, i'd riot. plus, i'd never be clean from having rooted for his whack a** for several years.
The guy just gets ripped in Game Time. WTF with never happy fans not being able enjoy the ride. We’re in the hunt because he’s here and Bron and him are a great duo. But he’s soft .... heee’s soft (whiny crying) constantly. Who’s soft?
Good enough for a double double in limited minutes. Hopefully he's all healed up soon, especially against the Paper Clips.
not just the numbers--people avoid the paint when he's in there defensively, and they had to collapse on him several times either on rolls or post catches, which led to open jumpers (that we actually made for once!). his presence is huge, even when he's not putting up numbers. every team has to fear him going for 50 and eating all their attempts at the rim. every night. it's sort of the anti-rondo effect: nobody worries about him, so he gets to hit a few threes, but the net damage of the non-fear is bigger than the box score impact.
He's getting closer to form. Playing back to backs was big. If he had sat, I would've been concerned. And how about this shot...
Crap... Davis is questionable for Saturday's game against the 76ers due to a gluteus maximus contusion. ANALYSIS Davis scored 16 points in 27 minutes Thursday night against the Nets, but it appears his bruised lower body is still bothering
There was a key moment when we were down by five when he should have gone down the left side of the lane but instead passed it to Caruso. That's all I'll say but it was a turning point.
^ same could be said for Lebron missing a wide open 3 to make it a 2 point game. Then came a 9-0 run from Philly. Things happen.
He needed to do what Horford did down the stretch. He had a good game, but I don't get why he didn't ram the ball down their throats at that point... the lane was wide open.
he's still not at 100% he played with more intensity tonight than the past few games but he still looks off
Offensive is coming back much quicker than the defense. He had a handful of impactful moments defensively and the one sequence where we gave up 3 offensive rebounds yet he got back to each shooter to contest... that was impressive coverage. Going to need the defense up to par against the New Balance strip club star.
Reads complaints; checks box score; shakes head. AD didn’t make his teammates shoot 4-26 from deep. Role players didn’t show up in a road game. Happens all the time to lots of teams.
Which is precisely why I complained that he passed to one instead of taking it himself to the hole in crunch time. I said AD played well... but he needs to start taking over the games at the end to be truly worth the price we paid.
