Wouldnt need a PF if they resigned J Randle.High energy that pounded the glass. We are missing him. That being said AD would make alot more sense than KD.If that happens kiss ball movement goodbye.
Ball/Ingram/Kuz/Pope works...almost perfectly. With cap holds we'd be sitting at about 82 million or so I believe this offseason. Not sure that is good enough to get Kawhi (unless the cap settles at closer to 115 instead of 109, but a player like Khris Middleton could be perfect to go with Davis, Lebron and Hart.
But AD, you were a +9 in 41 minutes on your way to a 41pt, 9rb, 4blk effort last night against the 7-13 Heat. So clearly, you don't have to look into the mirror much. What you're really saying is that you ain't happy with your guys and ain't happy with the FO that gave you this current squad to work with. There's a way to change all that...
https://fadeawayworld.net/2018/12/0...de-could-send-lonzo-to-the-magic-or-pelicans/ Lots of rumors about Anthony Davis going around today. Can someone explain to me why the Pelicans would trade AD? Am I the only one who can not understand this? Why the hell would the Pelicans trade AD?
Brandon Scoop B Robinson..... I forget if that guy has any credibility or not, but if he did, why would he leak that? It’s an interesting idea, and we have a lot of redundant talent. Pelicans are going nowhere, and AD wants to win. He also wants to play PF. Could you imagine him with this group? Chandler/McGee/Zubac Davis/Wagner/Beasley Lebron/Kuzma Hart/Stephenson/Svi Rondo/Bonga/Caruso This assumes his Ball, Hart, Ingram is correct. I think we’d still have enough depth for talent, but it would be interesting to explore. That would mean contending this year, not next year. Also would mean no max guy next year I think. Lose two ball handlers in Ball and Ingram, so backup PG could be Lance. Still a pretty interesting 2nd unit, and we’d be poised to take advantage of contract buyouts. I’d actually do that trade assuming Davis was healthy. That’s a STRONG starting lineup with size and strength. The smallest of them all will even try to high five you at the free throw line, spit at you, and then pop you in the mouth. Scrappy!
IF New Orleans were dealing with an unhappy AD demanding a trade you think they'd keep it quiet and behind-the-scenes with a few teams (and yet somehow leak it to "B Scoop" up there) rather than blow it up so every team knows to drive AD's price as high as possible until say the deadline? And the only reason they would move him this year for anyone would be if he were being a complete dissident and problem. The kind we would have heard about already.
A fun thought is if a trade for AD happens and the likely package going to New Orleans is the young core of Ingram/Kuzma/Ball, they would be reunited with Randle in New Orleans. It would almost be like a science experiment where New Orleans would be observed as “what the Lakers would have been if LeBron never came to LA”. The young group will continue to develop together and we see how they do.
It’s be like trading AD and Rondo for the young core. Might actually have made sense for both sides too
