    Nah. Its Magic Johnson. If he lands AD to pair with Lebron and keeps Ingram (as some reports suggest) he's gonna want all eyes on him. Dude isn't going to want ANYTHING to steal his shine from this moment.

    As it stands, ATL could have 77m in practical cap space this summer if Baze opts out of his contract via a player option (19m) and they waive their non-guaranteed contacts (5.5m).

    IF we trade for AD and take back Hill and/or Moore's contract while giving them picks and sparing some of our kiddies, we could look to a team like ATL to send out cap restricted salary along with the assets we spared in a AD trade in order to bring in a 3rd max guy to link up with Bron/AD.

    Another point of interest...ATL is home to KCP... the guy that presently has a no-trade clause.

    The other good thing is both the bad contracts (Hill and Moore) are expiring next season. If we can keep Ingram, we can probably move him and one of those expiring for a Kemba level player next trade deadline.

    I've seen way too many fans concerned with taking back salary in a AD trade and it's really not that bad at all.

    15 teams will have 20m or more in cap this coming summer. I know there is a prevalent anti-Laker sentiment that exists, but teams need to meet their bottom dollar and they'll take on assets regardless if it directly or indirectly helps the Lakers.

    AD is perceived as injury-prone..

    Rob & Magic are newbies and don't know how to construct the right roster around their stars..

    (Obviously, my "unbiased" a** disagrees with all of that tho haha)

    If we were to take on, let's say Moore (who does produce something of value) we really need to hold onto Ingram. Moore is moveable with Ingram attached. The perfect scenario may be that we take no salary back, and keep Ingram and instead of signing a max free agent, we get Khris Middleton and resign Rondo using the Room Exception.

    Ingram
    Middleton
    Rondo

    would give the Warriors fits with that length.
