Really confident 3 ball early on.

If he can find any semblance of regularity with that J, it SHOULD really give Rob confidence to get him that center he wants us to get because they can play together vs it just being an AD backup

 

I just want to see AD finally get his due.

Feels like JJ is going to try to put him in a position for that to happen and I’m all for it.

 

He's averaging over 30, I say it again

 

i thought he took a couple bad threes after he hit some good looks early. then in the second half, he turned down a couple threes when the defender flat out turned his back on him in the paint. that was weird.

he's still making too many catches too far out for my taste. i'm good with him drifting out and taking 3-4 threes a game to keep defenses honest, but i want him working from positions where he's more dangerous more often.

 

I think if anything, JJ will make sure we don't have those Casper quarters or half from AD cause we just decided to forget he's on the court.

JJ said after one of the final games AD played in this pre-season that he called 4 consecutive plays for AD because he wanted to get him going. I wonder when was the last time that happened for him. Not the ball falling in his lap 4 consecutive plays, but him having 4 plays consecutively called and ran for him straight from coach. Has it been since Coach Rondo?

Health permitting and if we get him help by mid season so he's not running himself ragged, I truly buy what JJ said, AD will be in a position to be whatever he wants to be this year. I think the Olympics helped jumpstart his momentum, just as long as we're smart with minutes.
