yeah, how can a coach not take accountability for making sure they get AD touches in the 2nd half.

Great film session I'm sure, but still, go with what is working. Lame

Time to lean in on building around AD, which should include a versatile big that can play 4/5 like a Bobby Portis type.

Wanna bet the media will still find a way to put the blame for this series on AD? I expect something like, "he's just not good enough as a leader/alpha/whatever, just as we,'ve always told you".

Ludabrow is the only reason why we're in these games but someone will say something absurd.

Like I said 2 years ago, I’d trade him now and get all I can get. Love the dude, he had a fantastic season, gave us all he had, but we aren’t winning with him anymore, start the rebuild before he tears something next season.

We're not winning with him because we aren't building around him and there is a complete moron occupying the bench, not because he's not good enough.

He has matched Jokic in this series...and we're down 0-3.

He's given his all this year...but Ham 100% has to go. It's clear that AD does not trust him

We don't have our pick next year. Nor in 27. So in the next 3 years, we only have 1 pick. Tanking makes no sense.
AD is great defensively, he still has good years ahead and just came off of his best season, especially on health. Makes sense to build around him and a star guard, with Reaves, maybe Rui, Max we can build a good core

I would build around AD, but we have idiots all around, so it would probably be from the standpoint of thinking that AD is Shaq, where you can dump him the ball and he's gonna go get a bucket. So it will fail miserably.

We should trade him, for the same purpose Rob traded midgets (last season) to not let Pimple use the 3G lineup.

I didn’t say he wasn’t good enough, I said we aren’t winning with him again. Not with the FO stuck on keeping a 40 year old LeBron and probably trading our depth for Trae Young and Rob overcorrecting yet again. I guess as a Laker fan right or wrong I look at seasons as championship or no championship, and we’re done winning with what we have as our core now. So, instead of letting them walk one by one and get nothing, I’d start to try to recoup all the picks we’ve traded away and rebuild, all teams have to do it at some point, it’s not personal. No need to worry though, the FO won’t do that, he’s here to stay along with LeBron, we’ll probably fire Ham and hire some bland coach and be right back here next season in the play-in and bounced early.

Way too late to build around AD and I don’t think he’s even that kind of player. Pelicans couldn’t and they had Holiday, Cousins (until injury during his 2nd year).

AD is an elite two way player but not the main scoring option on a contender. He struggles to create for himself and must be spoon fed baskets. He routinely disappears in crunch time because of that when the opposing team is going all out on defense and fully locked in. A perimeter jumper would help but his has cratered after the title. He only hits that in rhythm pick and pop middy. Whenever he has to hold the ball for a bit before shooting, his accuracy plummets considerably.

I think he will be outta here shortly after James and that’ll give the team a chance to fully rebuild.

We gotta keep him next year because the Pels will almost certainly defer their pick to 2025 so we're losing that pick outright so we have zero reason to "tank" next year.

Anthony Davis is only 30 years old. What rebuild, has ever worked for the Lakers?

AD is putting up better, than the Chip season numbers, and he was 1st Team All NBA.

Now...he's supposed to be on the decline? At 30?

    Damn

He's 31. He was a better offensive player in 19-20 because he could hit jumpers. He was stopping and popping like Dirk. Do you think he could possibly do this now?

Overall he's played great, and is the least of our problems but it's hard to run an offense through a guy that is pretty much a paint scorer in 2024. I wouldn't shop AD but if he wants out when Lebron retires that'll be the end of that.

We need to revisit the formula for 2019-2020. ADs minute should mostly be logged at PF but he needs to finish crunch time at C ala Pau. He’s needs an active big next to him

i think valanciunas is a FA this summer, but i doubt NO will let him walk for nothing, nor would he sign for the MLE. it's slim pickings on quality bigs. you'd have to trade for one. have to think of a team that has a surplus or a guy that's overpaid but could be useful to us.

It's gonna be harder to find one because now it has to be a center that can shoot. A big center without a shot will just clog the lane for AD and make it even harder for him to score.

yes, though he won playing alongside dwight and javale, too. again, you can just do this to start halves. 10mpg of a big center next to AD is really all we need.
