Cool interview. We aren't privy to many of these long form sit downs with AD. Started out with nearly a 20 minute MTV Cribs tour.

- AD loves him some Legos. We really missed out on not getting Turner. He and AD could be chilling at each other's cribs building Legos.

In the actual interview, some of the interesting topics he touched on:
-Boogie: thinks they win it all that year if he doesn't go down
-'Do: just his IQ & vision and he'd study coaches as much as the players to learn the opponent's calls.
- Bubble: the experience and the day to day. Mentioned just how good the team was prior to that and that people forget that.
-Brags on his defense. Don't hear him talk about himself like that often, but especially regarding defense he should.
- Olympic experience with Kobe and the vets and his takeaways from that.

 

You could tell AD wanted that game last night. He played well overall on both ends. I really felt like everyone let him down absent Prince and Hayes. Mays played well too.

 

With his jumper back and with that level defense, AD is ready. Just got to get the rest of the roster up to snuff and a couple wings healthy again.

 

Didn't like us keeping him in when he was in foul trouble, luckily we didn't need big minutes from him. Couple injury tweaks (both looked really minor) , so those few days off will be nice for R&R.

Averaging 6 assists seems to be the new norm. I like it

 

…with only a championship, a WCF run, and dominance of his former team, it’s still tough to say who won that trade. Maybe one day we will know. #sarcasm

 

Don’ forget “The Emirates Cup” ….. errrr the bait and switch 1st NBA In Season Tournament.

 

This, the return of the J and the health are three developments that's most impressed/surprised me this year. The defense is incredible, never get used to it, but he's been at that level for some time now.

 

the very first pass on that montage is the one. he skips to a shooter cross-court--that's what he couldn't do before. he's always been good at (sometimes creatively) hitting cutters--we just never sent any. again, i pointed this out over and over. you can't just stand there when lebron and AD have the ball. people moved for lebron, sometimes. we always just sat there in our spots for AD.

anyway, if he can consistently make teams pay with the skip pass, he becomes jokic on offense, for all intents and purposes. i (the board's biggest AD supporter) am actually dubious he has that in his bag, but if he does...
