Bummer. He should have sat after the first half of the Houston game.

Same. Said it all the time when people were complaining about him at the time. This type of guy has value in the NBA and can get you some wins. Not only in games but even in practices, they won't let anyone slack off and that's valuable

Has anyone seen Brooks or like Grayson Allen back down or hide in a face to face? They’re both detestable pieces of crap for the dirty and dangerous fouls they commit including knocking players out of the air. But these type guys have probably played like that their whole careers and at lower levels would not have lost big money if it resulted in fights and suspensions …. and have probably had to fight over it? Would think Brooks can take care of himself and that’s why he does it. How does anyone know it’s fake?

allen was a dirty player in college, but brooks was a nobody until recently when he started his cringey "villain" schtick since he was clearly attention starved. it blows my mind that no one's gone after him yet, but then again, NBA players are soft as s***

Sure. But I mean too way back to HS and youth sports. They tend to be strong physical dudes for their size and being dirty like that have probably come to blows more than once and not feared doing that, or off the court likely were “likes to fight guy”s. Beverley same way.

Hayes tried to lay a little wood in retaliation on Brooks with a chippy pick in the 2d half. It was right out in the open though and only so much he could do and at least knocked him down(?) I think.

bilateral achilles tendinopathy plus the hip issue is reminiscent of the injuries post-title. need to manage this.

AD dominated on defense and the boards. Impact on the game was huge even if he didn’t score much.

Didn't look right offensively, cause if he was he would've destroyed their backups when Hartenstein sat and you can tell he's not 100% because he let guards get a step on him on some of their drives that he usually cuts off sooner. But DAMN! He was still DPOY in the paint. He shut the water off at the rim and gobbled up every rebound.

It’s up to the coaching staff to set him up for easier looks when he’s not 100%.

Hasn’t always been the case that he has a huge impact on the game when he barely scores, but it has been for a while now, he’s so huge for us

AD's defense has been otherworldly for us this season. If he doesn't take home the DPOY this year then it's rigged against him. No other explanation.

i think our poor play will cost him the award. how often does a dpoy come from team that's not in the top 10 in the league?

He was never considered as DPOY before the season

ESPN's 2024 Defensive Player of the Year:

    1. Jaren Jackson, Memphis: 54 points (30.8% of first place votes)

    2. Bam Adebayo, Miami: 26 points (15.4%)

    3. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee 21 points (3.8%)

    T-4. Evan Mobley, Cleveland: 18 points (7.7%)

    T-4. Marcus Smart, Memphis: 18 points (7.7%)

    T-5. Mikal Bridges, Brooklyn: 17 points (7.7%)

    T-5. Rudy Gobert, Minnesota: 17 points (11.5%)
And half of those candidates already eliminated from this BSPN prediction.

well, that's because the fans and media hate him. which is another problem for his prospects.
