He controlled the game against Houston masterfully on both ends.
Sengun is very talented and AD frustrated him into shooting 8 for 25 from the field.
    Keep it up big man!

Great first half (20 & 6). Should've taken Nurk out the game in the second half so he could continue to dominate the smaller matchups. Thought he let him off the hook there. Still pulled in 9 boards in the second half even though he only had 7 second half points.

Another game he should have had monster numbers close to 40 on offense with no more effort that he had to expend if he hadn’t missed so many easy looks short range Js and at the rim. But played great in the first half especially.

he's been way off the past two games. not sure why.

in that he scored 27? because his typical finishing around the basket is very good.

Yeah. I was surprised he struggled finishing at the rim last night. Easy dunks were right there for him.

I don't expect a repeat of that against the Pelicans though.

In a way he struggles to be great on both sides for a full game/on a consistent basis ... which again I'm aware is very hard to do for a big in today's NBA

He didn't have the same lift on these O rebounds/at the rim in the 4th quarter .

He was great in the 1st half though

i feel like AD's had a lot of good paint scoring in 4th quarters, this year and prior. he just didn't last night.

in the houston game, both he and sengun missed a ton of shots you know they expected to make. it was kind of weird.

Yeah, last night was ROUGH in the second half. He missed so many point blank shots at the basket in the third and fourth. There a was crazy sequence where he missed like 3 in on possession right at the hoop. Not good! I had been defending AD iso to Zenmaster in the Game Time and then I just had to start laughing because AD turned to garbage down low. Someone pointed out he was 4 for 16 in the second half at 25%. Honestly, it felt like it was worse than that. He could not buy a bucket anywhere seemingly.

Thankfully he had a dominant first half and of course he played great D throughout. He truly deserves DPOY. And of course also we are spoiled by his monster performances of like 30 with 14 boards and 3 blocked shots. There are very few NBA players who can do that. It's just frustrating when he does struggle so obviously on offense in certain games/halves.

It's total b******* if Gobert wins and AD like Duncan never wins a DPOY.
That being said he's got to shut down someone like Jokic/Embiid to win. AD has so much more attention paid to him because he is an MVP level player vs a guy like Gobert or JNJ that the limelight is going to fall on those matchups

yeah, i know i've said it, but guys like gobert gets tons of praise (and max contracts) for being AD but s***ty on offense. AD gets crapped on for being as good as gobert defensively and only a top-20 offensive player.

Quiet 16, but we didn't need more than that from him. Gobbled up the rebounds. Did his usual DPOY stuff.

    Dominated Defensively.
We don’t need him to score a lot when LeBron and the others are lighting it up.
