He historically gets up against JJJ and Gobert because he thinks their reputation is fraudulent. There's the usual all world defense we see from him nightly and then there's taking one's heart from their chest and curb stomping it. Last night is the latter.

I agree he got jobbed only credited for 6 rebounds. At the half NBA.com box score only had him down for 3.

Must be talking about one of the rookies. My guess is Lewis or Castleton.

Let's do it for the rooks.

AD is completely changing the ways teams are going to have to play against us. Bad for a player's brand to keep getting swatted like that...lol. If he doesn't win defensive player of the year whoever does will be embarrassed to accept it. We can climb up the standings a bit he is in the MVP talk as well.

It's certainly not for LeBron, who is currently worth $1 billion.

Am really not up to speed on this thing. Is that $500,000 for the whole team or each player?

The players aren't even sure. In his post game, Rui wasn't sure. He was thinking it was $200-300k

But yes, each player on the winning team gets $500k

    here's the breakdown

    Another fun AD stat...

    Killing it!

I wonder if 2-way contract players get it too. My guess would be NO. Those contracts get switched around during the season anyway. Someone gets dropped from it and someone else moves into that situation.

Would be very interesting if the players union and the league agreed to a cash game (based on the size of your contract players would have to throw an 100k, 50k, or something like that). You would definitely get playoff intensity ball then lol

But if your team sucked no one would want to be forced into those antes?

This is the aggression I like to see

No floating, no going through the motions. Demanding the ball, didn't get it and let the guards hear about it.

I wish there were even more teams with bigs he wanted to send a message to.

A futile call out, but I’ll do it anyways….

That HoopsHype graphic a few posts above…. It says AD is on the wrong side of 30. How is that correct when that normally means like 36-40? Like LeBron would be “on the wrong side of 30”.

Unless it’s a jab or inside thing I’m simply unaware about.

"Wrong side of 30" simply means you have turned 30.

Love to see AD being aggressive like that. Reminds me of this, but in a more, uh... gentle way:
