AD looks much stronger/like a bruiser in that boxing getup compared to with the basketball jersey on: odd.

    82 games a year
    X 7 years?
    574 games
    400 played
    .6968

he has missed 30% of the games in his prime. The other guys mentioned are older with more mileage. I’m not seeing the point of trying to make him look better against older, more accomplished, higher mileage vets/stars.

Players miss games as they get older. His game missing started earlier than maybe it should have.

And both KD and Curry missed entire seasons

    Ages:

    KD - 34 (turning 35 in 2 months)
    Curry - 35
    AD - 30

One of these is not like the others.

So AD played slightly more games from ages 25-30 than KD and Steph from ages 30-35.

You’re right, I totally feel better now.

this is funny. it's not like you get a time machine if you trade for steph or kd, who aren't made of glass. the whole point is that AD is held to a different standard, and then that's what people do in response.

could have chosen kawhi, too. who's a he-man who never plays.

Surely you can see the point of being that injury prone 25-30 isn’t a good sign for your 30-35 age bracket - when athletes tend to become even more injury prone compared to their youth.

I guess. But he’s not under contract until he’s 35, nor is that really the point. Curry was glass when he was 23, btw.

I think people just bring it up to raise your BP a little lol

I'm just glad we are bringing in some guys that have the chance to give us quality reserve minutes. Last year, our depth for bigs just wasn't fantastic or have the faith of the coach. Hopefully that changes and we see a fresh AD for the playoffs. And Kawhi is full on glass. I just wanted to point out that Tweet wasn't a great or convincing argument in any way whatsoever.

It's great to see your interest peaked again with a whole bunch of likable new players and a number of them locked up for multiple years, getting away from the yearly turnover exacerbated by the Russ trade.

winning basketball played the right way is fun to watch

we were missing that for a couple of years, and it was really ugly losing basketball

I think Rob has us set up well for once our largest salary cap eating stars move on to greener pastures. Hopefully we never go back to the tank factory again. Brutal.

and perhaps that's why i posted the tweet as well...

anyway, the only reason i have interest in christian wood (and he should have some interest in us) is that i'm pretty sure AD will miss 15-20 games, and we'll have to outscore people during that time period without burning lebron out.

I feel like that's why we'll keep DAR and why we've added some more shooting/firepower. But offense from the bigs will be important to be balanced.

I think with Dlo, Reaves and Rui we can still not rely so much on LeBron when AD is out. That was the problem before.
I think our management of load on LeBron and AD will be a topic throughout the season
