I'm not for the overreaction of trading AD but to me he clearly has too many games that he does not put forth full effort. Then he apologizes and might play a game or two and it happens again. Pau played hard and kept us in games and won games for us. I loved Pau's effort. It was only after he got older his effort dropped off. The difference with AD is this is happening in his prime. Again, I do not want to trade AD but I will continue to expect him to give full effort. He clearly doesn't in way too many games. I think everyone should want that.

Every time AD plays bad, you bring some other guy bad game.
Yeah, superstars play bad. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be criticized for it.

    Btw, Embiid got the W

think there's some revisions of history going on. maybe you personally didn't, but the forums with respect to pau were the same as they are now for AD (soft beta, low effort, etc.) until he left and we didn't have another player of that caliber for years.

and now he's a saint. man, so many wanted to get rid of him over and over.

it's funny how easy that is, right? almost like great players have bad games more frequently than people think?

criticism is fine. did i say he had a good game? what you don't do is overreact and use it to support a (flawed) longstanding argument that this guy doesn't care or isn't great or whatever.

because his teammates played better than AD's did. period.

Pau never had the talent to be one of the best two way players in the League. AD does, and has shown it in stretches. I didn’t want Pau gone and I don’t really want AD gone. I just want the minimal effort games to lessen. We can come up with all of the excuses. The fact remains: sometimes AD plays like he doesn’t care. Every player has off nights- this is a completely different thing.

yeah, i just don't think it's different. i think the reason he doesn't average 40/20 isn't because he doesn't want to; it's because it's hard to do, both physically and mentally.

I don’t expect him to average those numbers. I do expect him to play like the best player on the floor, because most nights, he is.

AD is clearly impacting the game most for us regardless of his offense. As soon as he sits the team is hopeless. Ham either needs to give Bamba or Thompson a try or just match AD's minutes with Jackson. Jenkins is smart to Match up Jackson with the Lebron, Rui, Brown, Beasley, Schroder lineup. Let's see if Ham makes an adjustment.

    .
Great response. His 3rd Q was better than his entire game two performance.

We have a big problem when he goes to the bench though. It's a layup line with Lebron and Rui at 5. I wish we'd try a backup big.

I just hate it when he forces a drive into double coverage, he needs play smarter, he played hard though and stepped up this game

This is the kind of game for AD that makes the ones he doesn't show up for stand out so much. Such a great player when he comes to play. Really enjoyed watching him play.

What Anthony Davis will make an appearance in game 4? Dominant or after game apologetic

Good adjustment AD. This is why we complain when he gets shut down even when he's getting doubles - there are things he can do to avoid it.
