those team that rely on injury prone stars hasnt been winning either when it matters....while you cant predict injuries with bron/ad over the last 3 season, the probability of them staying healthy has been decreasing more and more....same can be said of you n others being deadset on believing/hoping the 2 star stays healthy

THIS is the most important point that some are easily dismissing.

And the counter point that's easily dismissed is if you blow it up early the real chance to compete for a ring while they're still here, with now a much improved roster, with the hoped for health, becomes NO chance at all for a ring and with NO guarantee any superstar, let alone 2 of them again, wind up here again the next decade, especially if we're sucking like we did after Kobe's run.

This is all silly anyway. The Lakers organization is going to do what it's going to do. If it makes you that upset let THEM know about it or stop following the team.

Never have and never will stop following the team because of my disagreements with ownership decisions.
I don’t think it would be “blowing it up early” when this has been the THIRD year in a row that the “hoping that both AD and LeBron can remain healthy enough to compete” plan has failed.
I’m not pissed or losing it. I’m not expecting AD to be moved. I’m fine with others having a different opinion than mine.
Front of Jersey is my handle because that’s what matters the most.
    Go Lakers!

i'll get ready to duck tomatoes here, but...i'd have forced someone other than kyrie to shoot, too. credit to kleber for knocking it down. even he seemed surprised, tbh. it wasn't a low-iq play, imo.

agree on FTs, though. if you're 80%, you should be at least 70% in the clutch. sub-50 is in your head. i know, as someone who shot 90 in practice and 70 in games.

Oh goodness no. KD is hurt as much or more than Ludabrow is, and Gobert? Just no.

love that the gobert trade chickens are being counted before they're hatched. a trade can be bad for both teams, just like it can be good for both teams. this seems lost on...almost everyone. the gobert trade was dumb for both teams. hell, utah drafted a poor man's gobert and are acting thrilled about it. it's hilarious.

AD for a bunch of draft picks isn't the laker way. and thank the basketball gods for that.

As often is the case we are stuck here guessing what is going on without any actual knowledge. Is he hurt, is he not hurt, who knows. All I can really go by is that when we are needing him most he does not appear fully engaged. I'm still not ready to trade him but once again he isn't doing himself any favors with his perplexing play. I get it that he doesn't want to appear soft and admit he is injured but is it better to seem mentally weak?

Don't we respect players for not telling the world and especially the opposition they're less than 100%? Why is this suddenly a negative? He's going out there and playing.

If Davis did, the opposition would go at him... Damn if you do, damn if you don't.

Lakers MO is that they treat their stars right: so that when a star is available not only do they get the LA lifestyle and So Cal weather they get a franchise that will treat them well if they produce and will go out of there way to make them a contender. Doubt the Lakers trade a prime AD just for that alone - the Westbrook trade was also very important because it showed 1) the lakers really did try to make it work with brick 2) they didn't abandon their stars.

I doubt they break the formula nor do I think they should

Yeah. I think that's fair as far as that play.

The issue that I have with this AD is not guarding Kyrie, he’s not guarding anyone. He’s in no man’s land. Sure by dropping back he should be able to stop the drive but Dallas needed a 3 not a 2.

Was talking with a friend who hates the Lakers and is a Warriors fan. About AD "injured" yet not "in pain." And it came up that around 1 in 20 men will get an inguinal hernia - making it extremely common - which eventually will be repaired through surgery. And yet, you can have a hernia and barely notice it. But it's there, and it will not get better on its own. It will gradually get worse, so don't go lifting refrigerators, etc. Ya know? AD's injury situation could be somewhat analogous to that.

Kobe never told anyone unless it was obvious and then he went out and dominated like a beast. But that was his amazing skill, like nobody else we have ever seen. I will not hold anyone else up to that standard.

they were down two; Kylie splits the double and hits a floater, AD is roasted for hugging up on a mediocre decoy. And kleber has to fade left to get the shot up.

memory is a funny thing. I remember Kobe having spells of bad play and learning later he was playing hurt.

    AD can’t win with fans/media.

Kyrie was already being double teamed and AD wasn’t guarding anyone. I still stand by my last post. A 2 ties the game, a 3 doesn’t.

I hope this was a joke. He meant ... Gobert or KD type of a return in the sense of the capital Jazz and BKN got back for them. FRPs and young players.
