I believe it. I don’t buy the trade scenario rationales at all. Maybe some of his anger also had to do with the blow up between coach and Westbrook at the half too. It was a weird night with lots of emotions. I think AD did not really understand how bad of a look it was for him to be fuming over the game itself right at the very moment Lebron was making history. I do think he was pissed about losing to OKC and probably his own limitations the last few games. Hard to celebrate while that is happening. It’s not mutually exclusive to care about the outcome of the game as well as the record breaking but you could see how concern over one could impact the other.

Sounds like he’s over it, Lebron’s over it. I’m definitely over it now lol. Move on and try to make the playoffs.

Hard for me to buy into the whole “I’m so competitive “ narrative when I watch him play. He gets kept out of the paint by 6’6” guys. There are times he drifts and has minor impact. Just meh level believable

Before he got hurt he was destroying everyone, playing at MVP level averaging 35 points, 17 boards and 2 1/2 blocks a game. He’s clearly not back all the way.

But for two years he was meh and didn’t care that much.

so the level of caring or competitiveness depends on perfect health

    “I’m not buying it”

    —-Kobe (Probably)

now he might be feeling desperation to get into the playoffs and being a Hall of Famer who misses the playoffs in consecutive years

I do not for one instant believe that Lebron would want to trade AD. That's his guy. He's Klutch, he brought him here and they won a chip together. Nonsense. Definitely believe that he was frustrated with losing the game, probably his own injury issues and subpar play and it came out at a very inopportune time. Maybe the blowup in the locker room with Russ and Ham contributed as well somehow.

History is a set of lies agreed upon.

It’s more the “motor” to me than just scoring. We need him playing with fire and energy out there.

I’m not down on him. I suspect he’s playing through pain. But we need a lot to go our way to make a run here and it starts with him

The last 2 seasons were a slew of injuries, he never played at full health. That's why he played 36 and 40 games those seasons. Do you think he just held out for the hell of it or was mad at someone or just lazy? That's crazy. He needs to get his motor running at full and keep it that way to get to Super-AD level. That version will be back soon. Relax a bit on AD.

But Lebron, hell yeah trade that fool. Trade the leading scorer in history who just set the record in your house and brought you a championship and has kept your franchise at a marquee level and made AD want to come here in the first place.

I don't care if there is a no-trade clause or not, the Lakers can't just trade LBJ lol. And last I checked, you don't trade a 30.2/8.5/7.0 guy (only 1 other person beating all those stats right now).

That’s exactly what I’ve been trying to say. Unless you think the window is closed and you can get a haul for each. You know Lebron would love to get a ring with a 4th franchise. AD may never be healthy enough to base big decisions on any longer. But otherwise I agree with you. No way we trade them unless we do.

    :Fishwink:

But in that case,I’d support that too even though I’d be terribly upset about losing my favorite player.

AD is still top shelf..we don't win that ring without him either. Hopefully we get an injury free AD for as long as this season's run last. At least we won't be debating the (what if's?) regarding Anthony..however it turns out.

Played D, rebounded, but offensively, he looked bad. Yes, he got hacked, but he can do so much better. Something's bothering this dude, but what?

Getting hacked without calls, and not getting the ball in the paint much, will do it. He doesn't look hurt to me.

My guess is -- he and Bron sat down and calculated the winnable games to make a push. This was not one of those games, so AD quit in his head.

I know this sounds crazy, but that's totally what Bron would do. He is that caluclating.

I thought he seemed to lack explosiveness at times on offense. But he looked good on defense and was rebounding well so I don’t know.

He said in his post game he’s still getting his legs under him, maybe it takes him a lot longer, I dunno. Was a really poor showing on offense for sure, defense too in the first half, just lucky he turned it on at the end.
