the weak-minded guy who won a playoff game with a clutch three and has carried us late in some games already this year?

his physical injuries led him to start questioning himself, which happens. he seemed to get past that a few weeks ago, so we'll see how he deals with his recent failures. i mean, failures in terms of he was unable to single-handedly win us all the games.

C'mon abeer. He missed key FTs two straight games. He can't. That's big. He scored 4pts in the last 13min he played.
Still, great game overall. He's too dominant when he plays like this

I want to make the trade for Bojan at whatever cost and win the championship. AD can lead us there. I just think right now he is being asked to do to much. We add that kind of scorer and we beat Boston in the finals instead of watching them take the lead on us.

I like Bojan a ton too. I do think we need more than just him to get number 18 though. We’ve got some other holes that need to be addressed as well. He’d be spectacular here though no doubt. Perfect fit IMO.

Smart people knew what LBJ would be coming into the season.

A guy who misses games, couldn't carry a team every night, etc.

Idk what to say for people who were expecting anymore. Maybe re-analyze the way they watch games.

LeBron's an old man who's trying to do too much. He was brutal at the start of the season but he is trending up. He just needs to clean up the hero ball late and a bit of the ball watching on D and I can work with that. At 38 it doesn't get any better than that so it's best to be realistic.

AD has been a beast. He was in his head on free-throws but he'll get over that. We needs to figure out more ways to get him the ball in the crunch. It's tough because there is bad spacing and bigs typically aren't go to guys for teams down the stretch with the increased intensity from the D. He is a finisher not a creator.

we can't get him the ball because of the way teams play russ. also, we're too afraid of turnovers and prefer off-balance threes from a bad three point shooter.

anyway, my point is that most evidence says AD isn't "weak-minded". i think folks will be as wrong about that as they were about him being done as a superstar.

Other holes would be nice to fill but we are so close right now. Bojan might just do it. We would know who would have the ball late. We have to go all out. This is not a normal season. The green slime winning is the alternative.

Everyone misses critical free throws at one time or another. I don't believe it means AD is weak minded. It means he was exhausted and doing too much or he just missed. It happens. We add Bojan and these games aren't even close. We would become the hardest team to guard in the league. I am not sure I have seen a better fit than Bojan with AD and Lebron. Coach has to squeeze AD some rest here and there even if it is just using time outs better.

lol, toklat is selling me on bojan despite my preference for defenders.

anyway, as much as i'm pushing back on soft AD narrative, i definitely am worried that he'll lose his edge a bit after some failures. but his ability to fight all the way back once gives me confidence that he'll shake it off and keep kicking a**. and again, he's made some big plays in close wins for us recently, too.

jaylen brown shanked two fts when boston could have put us away in OT, but since we didn't capitalize on the other end, nobody's talking about it.

Yeah I’m with you on getting Bojan Toklat. I’d even spend a FRP to do so. He’s a perfect fit with Lebron and AD. He’s even a great fit to maximize Russ as well. Imagine him getting dimes from Russ for open threes. He’d definitely take us far and he’d be a great first move to make.

not to get too far off topic, but what's weak-minded about lebron and those threes is the fact that he takes them, not that he misses them. he's giving up before the battle begins.

anyway, the larger point is a couple games do not a player make.

Yes, they can both be bad at clutch time. Why deflecting?
