    So the Pels listened to our offer. Now they're off to shop for better offers. Next week they'll come back with what other teams are offering, and see if the Lakers will up their offer.

    This is the way negotiation should go.

    Really? I thought they were focusing on Ball? What makes you think otherwise? If so I'd be thrilled as Ball is the guy I most want to keep.

    stuff i read on twitter but obviously who knows

    i'd prefer to keep lonzo over hart but if AD is coming back you have to trade whoever you can

    That's a respectable group. The problem is that they have $60m committed to Holiday, Solomon Hill, Mirotic and Moore. Holiday is worth half his paycheck, Hill and Moore not even that much.

    Great signaling by the Lakers. Show we've in fact presented 5 options to the Pelicans, and that if they don't accept we're moving on. Bird in hand or two in the bush?

    If we are offering that, that saddens me. That's such a huge haul to give up, but we are talking about a Future HOF vs potential possible all stars. Love to keep Zubac if possible, but NO will not get the short end of the stick in this one. They will have a very respectable lineup on the cheap. This is truly win win.

    Hmm, everything I've read is about Ball as the centerpiece for the trade. Otherwise I don't think Lonzo's camp would be so worried and throwing all that stuff out there about wanting a third team. Even the Brad Turner post above mentions Ball first. I wish it weren't true, as Lonzo is the one guy I would keep, but we can't get picky right now. Whatever it takes to pair AD with Lebron.

    Get it done Magic. Way to be aggressive and go after this. AD is THE guy that you give up the farm for.

    If they are talking about flipping him for picks, maybe they don't think he's going to stay. Maybe not. But if AD is your PF, do you really need him?

    Not sure if we are offering all of that or some combination of those players (like earlier reports suggested). Wouldn't we need more players for the roster minimum or incur fees that way?

    they'll spend the next week or so seeing what other teams have to offer but it won't top what the lakers are offering

    either take the lakers deal or wait until the summer to get conned by ainge

    No doubt, it's a lot to give up. But it's fair and I do it if I'm either team. Let's do this thing. I like that we would at least keep Hart.
