Best game of this short season was yesterday. He isn't there with his athleticism but I believe that's more due to lack of confidence in his body than diminished ability. He's in his prime years.

 

AD Unhappy

 

the reporter opened with a pretty nice question that allows for optimism, but he wasn't having it.

i get why he's mad about this one in particular, though. just not a game you can lose if you're a playoff team. portland's not a playoff team, and they came into your house and took a game you led by 8 with 4 minutes left.

 

I think he's going to be more upset with the losses than Bron early on. He's the one acting like Jason Statham in Crank out there defensively. All that effort, DPOY level work only to have teammates -- 95% of it is Russ -- piss it away. I wonder if he causes enough of a stink with Klutch over this if it changes Bron's more diplomatic approach in...I don't know, another 5 or 6 losses from now. Will be interesting to keep an eye on.

 

i think AD knows he was part of the problem to start last year and was determined not to be this year. and he hasn't been. but we're still bad.

yeah, vogel's definitely on a beach laughing right now.

though he's probably annoyed that lebron and AD are playing defense right now.

Last few years we had to worry about AD’s health AND his motor.

So far this year, the only concern has been health.

He’s clearly hurt and limited by his back. Him getting beat up and down the court wasn’t an effort thing, it was a physical limitation thing.

And despite that he continues to find ways to stay productive. AD’d play so far this season has literally been the ONLY bright spot I can think of. He’s been aggressive, not settling for jumpers and instead attacking the interior, intelligently picking his spots on defense despite being hurt.
